MATCHWEEK 9 — BFC SUPER LEAGUE 2026
Phuensum FC 1-2 FC Yeedzin
We had everything to play for. We had the opportunity to finish our campaign on a high and come away with the result we wanted. We started the game positively, scored early and fought until the very last whistle. But football can be tough with unlucky moments and we eventually fell 2–1 to FC Yeedzin, with both goals coming from mistakes of our own. We pushed for the equaliser, created opportunities and even hit the post in the second half — but the second goal simply would not come.
A tough one to take, But when the disappointment settles, what remains is something far more meaningful Pride. Pride in how far this team has come.
Compared to last season, the transformation of Phuensum FC has been incredible. Our players have grown, not only as footballers, but as teammates and as competitors and we have seen individuals improve, young players step up and experienced players lead.Our players have shown incredible growth, character, determination and togetherness throughout the season, right up until the final game.
This league has been about more than results, it has been about building a stronger team and growing together.
A huge credit goes to every single player for the hard work, commitment and improvement they have shown.
And most importantly, for never giving up.
The final result may not reflect the journey we have been on, but we know what this team has achieved.
This season has given us lessons, memories, heartbreak, growth and belief. And while this chapter may have ended differently than we hoped, our journey is far from over.
We will learn from our mistakes.
We will work harder.
We will come back stronger.
And we will return to the next tournament with even greater hunger and determination.

We may have missed the finish line this time, but we are taking something much bigger with us, belief in what this team can become.
