The Gungahlin Eagles are excited to host our upcoming Try Rugby Session for boys and girls aged 5 to 12 years on 11 December from 5pm to 6pm at Nicholls Enclosed Ovals. This fun-filled community event is the perfect introduction to rugby, giving young players a chance to learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy an afternoon of active play. 🦅❤️🖤
We’re also thrilled to have Brumbies players joining us to help run the drills and guide the kids through a range of engaging activities. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young players to learn from some of the best in the game while experiencing rugby in a safe and supportive environment.
Our Try Rugby program focuses on fun, teamwork and connection. Kids will take part in enjoyable drills and mini-games designed to build basic rugby skills, encourage teamwork, and—most importantly—ensure they have a great time. It’s also a wonderful chance for children to meet new friends and become part of the Eagles community.
After the session, families are invited to stay for a free sausage sizzle, with drinks provided. Parents are encouraged to hang around, enjoy the BBQ, meet the coaches and Brumbies players, and connect with other families. 🐎🔥
