Women’s and girls’ cricket continues to grow across the Territory! 🏏

Over the past few years, Yerrabi District Cricket Club has been working hard behind the scenes to grow cricket opportunities and strengthen the pathway for junior girls across the Gungahlin region.

Now, they’re looking to take the next step by expanding playing opportunities for women, while also creating a pathway for their junior girls to continue playing cricket as they get older.

Yerrabi has recently partnered with North Canberra Gungahlin Cricket Club to seek expressions of interest in forming a new women’s team to compete in the Cricket ACT Premier Cricket competition.

If you’re based in North Canberra or regional/country NSW and would be interested in playing, please help support this exciting initiative by completing their joint EOI before the end of the month.

Whether you’re an experienced player, returning to cricket, or looking for an opportunity to get involved, they’d love to hear from you! 🙏🏼

Excited to once again be leading the SDCZ Female Academy for the 2026/27 season! 🏏

We’re now seeking Expressions of Interest from U15 and U16 female cricketers across the Southern Districts Cricket Zone. If you’re part of the Highlands, Shoalhaven, Far South Coast, Monaro, Yass, Goulburn, Crookwell or Queanbeyan associations and are looking to further develop your game while progressing along the representative pathway, I’d encourage you to submit an EOI.

We’re excited to again deliver the Southern Districts Cricket Zone (SDCZ) Female Regional Academy for the upcoming 2026/27 season. This program is open to female players across the zone aged 16 or under who are looking to further develop their skills and continue along the representative pathway within SDCZ.

A huge congratulations to Zoe Wong on her selection to represent the Philippines at the ACC Women’s Premier Cup in Malaysia! 🇵🇭🏏

Zoe has been part of our online mentoring program since September last year, while also training in person with her coach Niv at Pro Performance Cricket in Sydney. It’s been a privilege to follow her journey and see the dedication, consistency, and effort she’s continued to invest in her game.

We’re so proud of you, Zoe, and can’t wait to cheer you and the Philippines team on from afar.

A special congratulations as well to Southern Districts Cricket Zone’s Elyza Wall, who will also be representing the Philippines alongside Zoe this week.

Representing your country is an incredible achievement, and a fitting reward for the hard work, commitment, and sacrifices both players have made behind the scenes.
