What an amazing weekend! Plenty of memories, milestones and smiles!

Well done to Adi and Alec and all that showed up in support as they both reached their Parkrun milestones. Superb effort.

Then a huge shout out to everyone at City2Surf! We had personal bests, plenty of great achievements still.coming in.

Sunday fun, creating memories in the rain

When you take your loving partner out for a run and after 7km of ups and downs announce that we are going to do some stair repeats 😛.

So we found a section on the Shepard's Look Out track with 110 trail steps, and set off to squeeze some fast climbs and walk back down! Kat managed 8 rounds and I battled on to 12. A tough challenge but they have so many benefits in relation to building strength in the glutes. A runners strength session 💪🏻

We are incredibly excited to officially announce that Running 4 Happiness Project will be launching a BRAND NEW training group for the 2026 Canberra Times Fun Run! With such a huge interest we are already at 75% full 🔥

This year we’ll be helping runners prepare for the:
🏃‍♂️ 5km
🏃‍♂️ 10km
🏃‍♂️ Half Marathon

Whether you’re brand new to running, chasing a personal best, stepping up in distance or simply wanting to be part of an amazing community heading towards a huge Canberra event, this group is for you.

We’ll be running a 10 week training block with:
✅ Tuesday & Thursday evening sessions
✅ Full training plan included
✅ Group support & accountability
✅ Goodies included
✅ Ongoing coach support throughout the entire journey
📅 START DATE: August 25th

Over the years our training groups have helped runners achieve everything from first ever 5kms right through to marathons and beyond, and we honestly cannot wait to bring that same energy, support and community into this exciting new event.

Planning is already well underway behind the scenes and we are determined to make this our biggest and best group yet 🔥

We hope you all have a great run, stay incident free and cross that finish line in style.

Remember, getting to the start line can sometimes be the greatest achievement of all. All those hard sessions, early starts, days where you wanted to stay in bed (especially in Canberra 🥶🥶🥶). So get to the start line knowing that the kilometres are in the legs and tomorrow is your chance to enjoy everything you've worked towards.

From here, there’s just one more lap to personal glory.

Run your race, soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the experience and be proud of yourself when you cross that finish line.

Good luck, legends. Go get it! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Every training session leaves you with more than just improved fitness. It teaches you how to overcome challenges, trust your abilities and keep moving forward when things get tough. Over time, those lessons build something far greater than physical strength—they build the confidence to believe in yourself both on the road and in everyday life. ❤️💛💚

What a great morning! Another great turnout for the Stromlo Thursday morning Group for some downhill repeats with a little bit of a twist at the end.

The goal was 150m of controlled fast descent then finishing with 50m all out. The best way to describe it was charging to the finish beating your running nemesis. It made for a very fast action packed session!
