WEST COME MARCHING THROUGH THE PACK, HURRAH HURRAH!

WHAT. A. DAY.

Our Prems showed exactly what this club is made of, getting the job done over St George 108 - 56!

A clinical first half set the tone, we gave St George a sniff in the third, but our boys dug deep, found another gear and absolutely nailed it in the fourth. That is Magpies footy. That is heart, grit and pure class.

And what better day to do it on. Today we celebrated two massive milestones in the black and white:

- Callum McEvoy-Gray, 200 CLUB GAMES. A junior at 9 years old, now a Life Member and our Captain leading from the front. Legend status, Cal.

- Daniel O'Connell, 100 CLUB GAMES. Back from Osborne and right back in the thick of it with this club. Congratulations on a huge milestone Doc.

This is what it is all about. History, milestones and the Mighty Magpies marching through the pack together.

And to top it all off, Stu Williams takes the field at 5:15pm for HIS 100th club game. Stu, we all stand behind you tonight. Go out there and make it a day to remember, brother. Good luck!

ROUND 10 IS HERE

Picken Oval, we need you. Tomorrow Saturday 20th June every single Magpies team takes the field, and they need to feel the black and white behind them like never before.

- Under 19.5 Div 2 vs St George – 9:00am
- Under 19.5 Div 1 vs St George – 10:45am
- Mens Premier Div vs St George – 12:45pm
- Mens Div 2 vs Randwick City Saints – 3:10pm
- Mens Div 5 vs South West Sydney – 5:15pm

This club has never been about easy days; it is about showing up for each other when it counts most. Every cheer, every clap, every voice on that boundary line lifts our boys up and reminds them exactly who they are playing for.

This weekend let's fill Picken Oval with noise and show the boys this club has their back. Bring your mates, grab a cold one, smash something off the BBQ and let's get around every single team in the black and white.

100 CLUB GAMES

This weekend we celebrate a true Magpie through and through, Stuart Williams, who plays his 100th club game!

Stuart joined Wests back in 2014 as a young sailor with the Royal Australian Navy, and in the years since has become one of the most loyal servants this club has ever had. On top of being a regular out on the field, Stuart has given his time to the committee and taken on countless roles to help the club, whatever was needed, whenever it was needed.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution, Stuart has been awarded Life Membership of the Inner West Magpies and now adds 100 club games to that incredible legacy.

This is what makes our club special. People like Stu who give everything, on and off the field. Congratulations mate; this one is thoroughly deserved.

100 CLUB GAMES

A huge congratulations to Daniel O'Connell who runs out this weekend for his 100th club game in the black and white!

Daniel first joined the Magpies back in 2017 from AFL Canberra, giving everything to this club through to the end of 2022 before heading off to join his brothers at Osborne FC.

But once a Magpie, always a Magpie. Daniel found his way back home to Inner West, and we could not be happier to have him back where he belongs.

100 games are no small feat, and it speaks volumes about the type of person and player Daniel is. Congratulations on reaching this huge milestone mate, welcome home and here's to the next 100.

200 CLUB GAMES

Tomorrow we celebrate an incredible milestone for one of our own, Callum McEvoy-Gray will run out for his 200th club game in the black and white!

Callum's Magpies story started all the way back in 2008, a 9 year old kid lacing up for Wests juniors. 78 junior games later, he stepped up to the senior club in 2014, debuting in the under 19s before making his senior debut in 2017.

Since then he has become a Life Member of this club and now proudly leads the team as Captain.

From a wide eyed junior to a 200 game club legend and skipper, Callum is the embodiment of everything this club stands for. Loyalty, leadership and love of the game.

Congratulations Cal, here's to running out for game 200 and many more to come.

The Inaugural Rick Scicluna Memorial Trophy

Some people are the soul of a football club. Rick Scicluna was ours.

He was the one who did the thankless work that most people never even knew was happening. Sitting in the cold watching opposition teams play, so that when it mattered, our match ups were right and our game plans were spot on. Pouring hours into supporting our coaches with strategy, plays and preparation. Making sure every single player walked onto that oval feeling ready, confident and backed. He did not do it for the glory. He did not do it for the credit. He did it because he cared, deeply and completely, about every person in that black and white.

A life member of both the Inner West Magpies AND South West Sydney, Rick gave decades of himself to football. As a player, an assistant coach, a mentor and one of the greatest mates this game has ever seen. He shaped careers, lifted spirits and left every person he crossed paths with better for knowing him.

Now it is our turn to honour him.

This Saturday 27th June, the two clubs Rick loved most will come together at Picken Oval to play for something that means more than any premiership. The very first Rick Scicluna Memorial Trophy.

Get down to Picken Oval. Bring your family. Grab a beer and a snag. And watch the Mighty Inner West Magpies take on South West Sydney in the way Rick would have wanted most. A hard, fair, beautiful game of footy.

The Spring Carnival has NOTHING on this.

The 3rd Annual Presidents Cup Race Night is coming, and it's going to be a big one.

After a massive day of footy at Picken Oval, where the Mighty Magpies take on South West Sydney for the Rick Sciculna Memorial Trophy, we're heading upstairs to the Skylight Lounge at Magpie Sports for a night of high-stakes thrills, teamwork, cheeky punts and plenty of laughs.

- First race starts at 7pm
- $20 entry — cash only
- Race guide on arrival

To our incredible volunteers, THANK YOU.

Every week, without fail, you show up. You set up the oval, run the canteen, tape the ankles, wash the jumpers, cheer from the boundary and pack everything away long after the final siren sounds.

You don't wear a number on your back, but this club wouldn't exist without you.

The Inner West Magpies have been flying since 1929, and the reason we're still here, still growing, still competing, is because of people like you. People who give their time, their energy and their heart to something bigger than themselves.

To every volunteer who has ever cooked a snag, lined a field, fixed a gate, managed a team or simply shown up to make game day feel like home, this one's for you.

You are the backbone of this club. You are the Magpies.
