DID YOU KNOW . . .

Recommended breast screening:
🌸 Ages 50-74: Get a free mammogram every two years.
🌸 Ages 40-49 and 75+: You are eligible for a free mammogram every two years, but you must contact BreastScreen Australia or your local BreastScreen service to arrange it.

You should see a doctor without delay if you experience any of the following symptoms, even if you are within the screening age range:
🌸 A new lump or thickening in your breast or armpit.
Changes to the skin of the breast, such as dimpling, puckering, or redness.
🌸 Changes in the ni**le, such as inversion or new discharge.
🌸 An area that feels different from the rest of your breast.
🌸 New or unusual pain.

How to Access Screening:
🌸 For women aged 50-74, a state-based service will send a letter to invite you.
🌸 You can call 13 20 50 (the cost of a local call) to contact your local BreastScreen service to book an appointment or find out more.
🌸 To find a location or book online, visit the Australian Government Department of Health website or your state’s BreastScreen service.
