Victory Marcelo competed Saturday evening in Australia’s top professional Jiu Jitsu promotion.

Marcelo’s opponent is a very impressive and athletic competitor who was undefeated in Subversion events being 2-0.

Marcelo put on an outstanding performance starting with a sensational Seoi-nage and controlling the 7 minute match and taking a unanimous decision.

Throughout the contest Grant fought right to the final bell and was very dangerous till the end. We greatly respect Grant and his coach and expected a very tough match.

It was an honour helping Marcelo prepare for this challenge and being in his corner for his victory along with whose experience and technical advice was extremely helpful.

Thank you for sharing the multiple hard rounds with me to get Marcelo in top shape.

Black belt debut!

Master 3 Middleweight black belt silver 🥈 State Championships.

I won my semi final on points in a very tough and technical match. I lost the final via submission to the Australian champion Rodrigo who was the better athlete today and a class act on and off the tatami.

Today I was promoted to black belt rank by my head coach and friend
It’s been 14 years to reach this milestone and I’ve had an absolute blast training and competing through the ranks.

Thank you so much to all my teammates at as well as all my coaches along the way who have inspired, supported and moulded me into the martial artist I am today.

Thank you to my beautiful wife and kids for all their support and love for me to train hard and hunt and achieve my goals.

So many people I want to thank but I’ll do that in person.

But I’ve got to give a big shoutout to and who has helped me level up this year. .valori1 .andrews.77 for all the extra rounds over the past decade at SJJA helping each other to sharpen our skills.

To all my opponents who gave me the opportunity to test my skills in battle and become friends afterwards.

SJJA Cup 2023.

Had a great time at our club championship, I had 7 matches in total going 5-2.

I won masters brown belt 🥇and came 4th out of 16 in the open weight division losing the semi finals to the gun in a match we both left it all out there. Then I lost the bronze medal match to the prodigy

Congratulations to and your coach and dad on taking the title, so happy and proud of you both.

Thank you for putting on an amazing event and to all the referees and coaches and teammates for your support.

thank you so much for your coaching in preparation for this and today, hearing your voices out there made a great difference.

I loved having my dad come and watch me battle it out with our best.
