Congratulations to our 2026 Mixed Foursomes Champions, Paulla and Paul Read! 🏆

The Mixed Foursomes Championship was held on Sunday 31st May, and saw the back-to-back championship win from Paulla and Paul. It was a strong field, and there was some great competition.

Results were as follows:
Champions - Paulla Read & Paul Read – 120 🔥

Gross Runner-Up - Sharon Rooney & Warren Walker – 129 🥈 (pictured)

Gross Third - Marg Coventry & Stephen Coventry – 140 🥉

Catching up on some tournament results! ⛳

It’s been a busy month for our golfers, and we’d like to congratulate all of our members who have taken part in these events.

A huge congratulations to the Golf Southern Tasmania team, who claimed the 2026 Thyne Trophy at Mowbray Golf Club on 30th and 31st May. The team recorded impressive wins against Northern Golf (4/3), North West Golf Tasmania (6/1), and Southern Country Golf Association (5/2) to secure a dominant overall win. 🔥

TGC was well represented, with Andrew Phillips, Max Coventry, Eli Monaghan, Dylan Backhouse, and Koby Wegman making up five of the team's seven players - a testament to the strength of golf at our club. Well done, gents! 💪🏼

We'd also like to recognise Sally Miller, Mackenzie Thomas, and Eloise McKinlay, who represented the South in the North vs South Plate over the same weekend. While the North team ultimately won the title, our members competed strongly and should be proud of their efforts. 👏

A further special mention goes to Dylan Backhouse and Eli Monaghan, who were selected in the Tasmania team in the Australian Interstate Teams Matches at Glenelg Golf Club from 5th to 7th May. Although Tasmania was unable to secure the results they were after, they didn't go down without a fight.

We're so fortunate to have so many members competing in high-level events! Congratulations to everyone involved, and we look forward to following your success throughout the remainder of the year. ⛳🏆

As Hobart turns red for another Dark M**o, we're embracing the season at Tasmania Golf Club with a menu of warming winter favourites, cozy desserts, and a special cocktail list inspired by the darker side of winter. ❤️

Our new Winter Solstice Menu (available from Wednesday, 10th June) features hearty dishes perfect for the season, including a Rosemary & Red Wine Lamb Shank Pastie, Blackened Ocean Trout Fillet, and Rustic Chicken Forestiere Stew. Finish your meal with a Blood Moon Orange Crème Brulée, or Spiced Carrot & Walnut Steamed Pudding for the ultimate winter sweet treat. 😍

Exciting times at TGC! ✨

Our 2-Course Lunch Special has been a hit, so we will continue to run it throughout June. If you haven't been in to enjoy it yet, you have the choice of a few of our main dishes, along with a choice of any of our desserts, for only $28! What a bargain. This is available during our lunch services from Wednesday to Sunday. 😍

Happy Hours will be running on Thursdays and Fridays for the month of June. This week, we have:
- $5 Cascade Draught Schooners and Glasses of House Wines
- $6 Albert Brewery "Dry Lager" cans (available until sold out), or
- $7 Bacardi & Cola cans (available until sold out).
Happy hour runs in the bar and restaurant from 5pm until 8pm.* 🔥

Last Saturday, 23rd May, Tasmania Golf Club was incredibly proud to host the Rainbow for Rosie Charity Gala Night - and what a special evening it was.

The night was a huge success, with 140 guests coming together to support a wonderful cause and help raise much-needed funds for the Rainbow for Rosie charity. The atmosphere throughout the night was amazing, and it was fantastic to see so many people come together in support of such an important organisation. 💛

We feel very fortunate to have been able to host an event like this at TGC and would like to thank everyone involved in making the night so memorable. From the organisers and guests, to our staff and supporters behind the scenes, thank you for helping create such a meaningful evening.

We look forward to hopefully hosting more special community events like this in the future. 🌈

Our new $28 Two-Course Lunch Special is available during lunch service each day (Wednesday - Sunday)! Choose from favourites like a chicken schnitzel or parmi, scallops, fish of the day, or roast of the day - plus your choice of dessert to finish it off. ✨

And yes… the Parmi Specials are back on BOTH Friday & Saturday night! 🔥

A huge congratulations to our Division 1 Pennant team, who took out the winning title for the GST Sunday Pennant competition on Sunday, 24th May. They faced Royal Hobart Golf Club's side at home and came away with a victorious 5/2 win. A great finish to what was a great season, ending it with 4 wins and 1 tie (no losses!). 🔥🔥

They will head up north to play in the State Pennant Finals, and hopefully will bring home the championship title again.

Unfortunately, our Division 2 team lost 5.5/1.5 to a very strong Claremont Golf Club team, and Div 3 lost 4/3 to a great Llanherne Golf Club side. Though these two teams didn't come away with a win, they still competed fiercely throughout this season, and it definitely hasn't gone unnoticed. 🙏🏼

Thanks to all of our members who represented our club this year in the GST Sunday Pennant competition! As always, we are a very lucky club to have so many great players represent us in these competitions. 😍
