Our man Simar Pawar is the Melbourne Ambassador for Cricket Beyond Sight. Which is a program run by the Shamshir Foundation that gives visually impaired cricketers the chance to play, train, and compete.

He's raising $10,000 to fund coaching clinics, equipment, and travel so we can reach more players who'd otherwise never get the opportunity.

Former Camberwell Cricket Club player, Phil Hay passed away on Friday, 29 May, 2026 aged 88.

Phil played 107 games for Camberwell Cricket Club between (1956-65) as a hard-hitting left-hand middle-order batsman and quality leg-spin bowler scoring 2218 runs at average 18.7, while taking 202 wickets for 2915 runs at average 14.4.

He was also a talented VFL footballer with Hawthorn FC and played 107 senior games kicking 20 goals between (1960-66).

We extend our sincere condolences to all members of the Hay family.

RECRUITING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Camberwell Magpies Cricket Club are pleased to announce the recruitment of Tyler Pearson, commencing season 2026/27!

Tyler is a Cricket Victoria contracted player, one of the finest young fast bowlers in the state, and a more than capable batsman.

Along with his on field ability, he brings professional training standards, and will be a fine role model for our young players!
