Lesson number 1.
Program design.

One of the biggest mistakes you could make this year is starting the year off without a plan! There you go I said it. However you knew that.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk specifically about your training or what you call when you hit the gym.

80% of the programs that you will find on the internet and on social media will not suit you or your goals and without proper direction could even set you up for failure.

One of the first considerations that you need to understand is without any assessment you won't know where you are on the ability scale. Are you proficient enough to do the exercises or are you even past them. Remember not everything has to be complicated.

Second. Jumping around doing hiit circuits, endless crunches, burpees and more jumping around will not get you the body you are looking for and will very rarely yield the results you are looking for unless the exercises above are the goal. The likelihood of injuries are also very high.

Third. As per our second point knowing how these would effect you and your physiology. Without specifically targeting an area for discussion, these include CNS load, cartilage and tendon stress, DOMS, Rpe, stress, hydration loss, muscle atrophy/hypertrophy, nutrition/digestion, TDE or even your libido.

Fourth. How do you determine what is right for you? It's very simple you need to talk to somebody who understands the anatomy, goal, physiology and direction you want to take your body. Knowing what it's going to take and being able to determine the stepping stones you will need to cross. E.g skills needed to aquire to progress in a functional ability.

Fifth. I will also leave it at this point for today. Congratulations if you have made it this far. This is the most important attribute to programming. Once you have established yourself with a knowledgeable coach, set your goals, recieved correct programming to your abilities and have a clear understanding of what you are doing. Then this fifth point will be the most important.......trusting the processes and staying unwaveringly CONSISTENT.

What an absolute pleasure and honor to celebrate with everyone at our Christmas party over the weekend. Our family just keeps growing bigger and bigger and as a club we are full of Champions.
We also had the privilege to highlight everyone's hard work and put an end to our 8 week challenge officially.
Team cleaned up again and our guys took out 5 medals.

won our weightloss challenge with a massive 10.5 kg fat loss 🤯

won our loan muscle female. Constantly making progress in her composition. 👌

Barry Dale our resident zen master had the audacity to with the male weightloss category. We managed to cut and to gain muscle, which was incredible 💪

this firecracker has smashed both challenges this year and has been her strongest and leanest to date. She was one of our overall winners who showed absolute consistency in her training and nutrition also losing 2% body fat to put her into the 16% rage overall 🤯

I will post up all the transformations in the stories and into the highlights.

What an absolute champion effort this weekend. Mrs pushed her limits and competed over 2 days at the qld championships and competed in 3 categories. Champion in the transformation category on Saturday and a solid showing Sunday. No podium finishes on Sunday but man did she improve over the day against a solid line up from competition all over qld. From your coach and mentor I believe you are inspiring and strong, you have continued to improve and show great dedication to your sport. I urge you to keep competing, keep getting better and keep being a beacon of light to the people that are watching. Bravo 👏

Who knew being at the cheeky end of 50 and ripping through that menopause, that is was possible to still make positive changes to your overall composition and health. Dropping 3kg, gaining 400g muscle and decreasing her body fat percentage by 3.3%.
For it is mostly important to be an example to all the ladies out there, that it is possible and that health and longevity is the winner.

This bloody legend took out the Men's weightloss division with incredible results achieved over 8 weeks losing roughly 6kg in weight and 3.5% in his body fat percentage.
His dedication to his workout and nutrition regime was unshakable and he gave it 100% to the end. He is a fantastic influence on his family, especially his 3 children. Well done you deserve the credit.

What a night of champions 😁.
The team came away with all 5 golds in a very memorable and successful challenge at .
As a club we had 45 take the challenge to improve their health and well being. 32 of these guys were part of the team.
To all my athletes I am not only proud of your results, I am also overwhelmed with joy. This was the most successful challenge in term of results that we have gone through. Over 160kg in fact!
On top of that the systems we have put in place have shown to work so well that they are still working. There are guys that have further changed their composition, gained strength, muscle and dropped weight.
You guys are inspiring me to be better and all the countless floor hours and even more prepping nutrition plans and workouts. You guys keep the dream alive.
Thank you...more than you guys know!
