A quick update to friends, families and supporters on our three boys who recently represented Shelfords Boxing Gym at the 2026 Golden Gloves tournament held in Brisbane.

First of all, we are very proud of your performances in the boxing ring. You three gave it your all and dug deep when it mattered, that's all a coach can ask for!

There were a lot of positive learnings to take away from this tournament not only for you boys but also for us coaches.

Jayden secured a silver medal while Reid and Liam just missed out on making the finals.

A massive thank you to Jojo Tipace from Northside Boxing for hosting us during the tournament......chur chur my bro!

And to Surreal Norriss and Cathy Watson for your time and help in cornering and chaperoning the boys.

To Boxing Queensland.....what a fantastic tournament 🥊🥊🥊

A big hooray to Liam Hartland and Jayden Muller. Both boys recently competed at the Queenland State Titles held in Mackay....

Liam secured his spot in the boys U17, 60kg division.
And to Jayden Muller in the U19 80kg division, who unfortunately missed out as he had not met the minimum requirement bouts! Chin up mate, you've only had 8 fights and you're up there already. Your time will come champ!!

Hi all, an update from the Sunshine Coast Regional Championships Titles held this weekend by Impact Boxing.

What a ripper!! Another fantastic, well-hosted tournament.....Thank you for having us.

Liam Hartland and Jayden Muller you two boys had very hard fights yesterday and unfortunately didn't get the Win, but what a great way to start the year having 2 hard opponents to go against.

Liam had some good stages during the fight landing some heavy blows and having to dig deep in the last round shows character. Losing on a split decision to a strong opponent who was boxing in England before moving to Australia and has had a bit more experience.

Jayden went against a boy who comes out of All Stars and you know its going to be a tough fight from the get go! You gave away a lot of experience to a very good Boxer with some impressive credentials but you had the ability to hold your own and you did. You might not have gotten the win but you can take a lot out of this fight and use it as a real confidence booster.

A few tweaks here and there and improving that fitness will help to get these two to where they want to go!

Great effort boys, you showed Character and ticker....you can't train those things.
