Katrina’s 12 Week Sculpt Results! 💪

Katrina began her semi private 12 week Sculpt Program in January.

During this time we worked on nutrition and specific exercises at home and in our sculpt sessions.

Over the 12 weeks Katrina lost 8kgs and 47.6cms over 6 points!!

We achieved so much in the 12 weeks, your strength, determination and mindset is unbelievable. Week 11 Katrina was deadlifting 3 x 8 100kgs with correct form 🙌🏽

Congrats Katrina! So proud of you girl and so excited to see where we go on our next 12 week sculpt, I can’t wait 🤩🤩🤩

As we make strides towards achieving gender equality, there is no more opportune moment than International Women's Day to showcase this progress. Taking place on Wednesday March 8th, IWD is an opportunity to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world.

So ladies feel free to wear your purple, green or white gym wear to the gym, or rock it out to work or in your everyday clothes.

Historically, purple was a colour that denoted justice and dignity, and now it is used to represent women. Green is a symbol of hope. Today, purple is the colour of International Women's Day, and combined with green represents the feminist movement. White represents purity, albeit a controversial concept.

This week we have started, something a little different and while doing so we’re having a little bit of fun 🤩

Our members that are attending Calliope Bootcamps get to pick what style of workout they want to do 🙌🏽

All current members get put in a generator 🛞 wheel of names and than I PM the winner and ask what type of workout they want 😊

I program the session specificity what the winner has chosen for the session ie cardio, legs, core, fitness test, aerobics the list goes on, but also add some extra stuff 😉

It’s been crazy so far with upper body, aerobics and body attack 😜 I can’t wait for many more red faces and stink eyes to come my way and to the person picking the style of workout 😂

Nutrition TiP!!!

Curving the habit of Overeating and establish awareness around eating.

First of all Overeating causes the stomach to expand beyond its normal size to adjust to the large amount of food. The expanded stomach pushes against other organs, making you uncomfortable.

“When the stomach is stretched beyond capacity, discomfort occurs. This can come in the form of bloating, gas, acid reflux, nausea, feeling tired, sluggish or diarrhea.” It often takes up to five hours to feel good again, but the more you eat the longer it'll take to digest.

So with all that being said, can you try for the next 3 days or longer if you wish asking yourself before eating.

1. What is my hunger level?
2. Will this nourish my body?
3. Do I truly want it?
4. How will I feel after eating this?
5. Am I fully present to enjoy this?
6. How can I make it enjoyable?

The purpose isn’t to be “perfect,” but rather to slow down and build more awareness of your experience around food.

Nutritional Tip!!!

So many people think that if you don’t eat you’ll lose weight. Well here’s a couple of reasons WHY its so important to eat while losing weight?

- Some people who try the fasting diet for 3 days do it as a way to lose weight. While people do lose weight, it is important to note that the weight loss is water weight and not fat loss.
- When you eat less than you need and you lose weight, your body goes into a starvation mode. To save energy, your metabolism slows down. When you're done fasting and you go back to your usual diet, you may regain the weight you lost, and then some.

So people it’s simple and it’s scientifically proven if you eat wholesome food and keeping in mind a calorie deficit (for weight lose) and regular exercise you will be healthier and fitter doing so.
