Saturday 9th May Results

Yesterday, we held the Hay Australia trophy playing in ideal conditions, we saw another strong turnout of 15 golfers. Great to see the course buzzing with players.

The winners were as follows:
🥇1st - Des Toomey 41pts
🥈2nd - Sascha Smith 35pts
🥉3rd - Richard Smith 34pts

The Golf Connect app was successfully utilised for scoring purposes and will be used going forward. For those who aren’t tech savvy the card option will still be used.

We would like to thank to Hay Australia for their ongoing support of the club. Next week, we will be competing for the Summit Fertilizers Trophy.

14 Players teed off today playing Ambrose for the Lachies Fencing trophy. Beautiful weather and green fairways were a great start to the season. A perfect day for golf enjoyed by all!
The President teed off first and lots of laughs were had throughout the day.

Final preparations are underway for our first competition day in Calingiri this Saturday. Our grounds committee have been busy getting the course ready.

Last year we received a grant from the Shire of Victoria Plains to help purchase new flag poles and cups and Springs Poll Merino Stud donated 18 new flags to go with them.
They look great and will be a welcome addition to the course.
Thank you to both organisations for your support of the club we appreciate it.
This Saturday we are playing for the Lachy’s Fencing trophy, names in at 12 for tee off at 12.30

Calingiri Golf Clubs 2026 season gets under way this Sunday the 19th April, but we are changing it up this year and starting with a 3 person Ambrose played at Chequers Golf Club.
The day will be sponsored this year by our new sponsor WestPlains Electrical. Thanks to Hamish for jumping on board. If anyone is interested in playing please be in touch ASAP as we need to book through Chequers.

The golf season is rapidly approaching, and the fixtures have been finalised. Our opening day this year will be an Ambrose Day, held at Chequers Golf Course on 19th April.
If you are interested in playing, please contact Richard or Joce, as we require prior confirmation of numbers. The first day of play at Calingiri will be on 2nd May.
If you have been considering playing golf and would like more information, we welcome new members and look forward to hearing from you.

A magnificent turn out for our 3 person ambrose day sponsored by Byfields - Northam ,Boekemans, Community Bank Bindoon.
19 groups played in great conditions with the course a picture to behold.
Fast greens and manicured fairways.
Thanks to Jason from Northern Valleys Quality Meats, a sausage sizzle awaited the players before hit off, and to Des Toomey for the chicken pieces after golf (they went down a treat).

Agri-Fence Contracting sponsored a new driver on the lucky wheel that went to Rod from Mundaring.

16 visiting clubs ,a great turn up.
