Our Golf Club was heartbroken last week with the news that one of our newest members Raniera Huriwaka (Rani) died tragically in an accident. Rani loved golf and only just got his handicap starting on a 12. We knew he was going to be a talented golfer.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help support his partner Abbey and daughter Delilah. If you can we would love it if you could donate and help these beautiful people.

Ever wanted to learn how to play golf from a professional? Calingiri Golf Club and GolfWA are bringing Free Come and Try Golf Lessons for Adults and Juniors to Calingiri. It’s all happening on the 24th June, register via the link.

This year, we have commenced using the new Golf Australia scoring system, enabling golfers to score digitally on their mobile devices.
While we are all still familiarising ourselves with the new app, our handicap manager now requires a laptop to process daily competition results.
Fortunately, we have been successful in securing a grant from Bendigo Bank Community Bank Bindoon to assist with the cost of a laptop, which will prove to be a valuable asset for the club in the long term.
A massive thanks to the Bendigo Bank team for their support of our club.

Saturday 9th May Results

Yesterday, we held the Hay Australia trophy playing in ideal conditions, we saw another strong turnout of 15 golfers. Great to see the course buzzing with players.

The winners were as follows:
🥇1st - Des Toomey 41pts
🥈2nd - Sascha Smith 35pts
🥉3rd - Richard Smith 34pts

The Golf Connect app was successfully utilised for scoring purposes and will be used going forward. For those who aren’t tech savvy the card option will still be used.
