That wraps up the boxing for Freedom Boxing at Golden Gloves 2026. 👊

A huge thank you to all the competitors, coaches, officials and organisers. Personally, this has been the best amateur boxing tournament I’ve ever been a part of. An incredible week of competition and a credit to everyone involved.

It was also a pleasure to finish off a brilliant week of boxing at Casa Di Louie — Brisbane’s best Italian restaurant. 🇮🇹🍕 Thanks for the A1 service mate, much appreciated.

PROUD OF YOU, AIDAN 🥊

Aidan put up a valiant effort today. Unfortunately, he got caught and the contest was stopped — something we have absolutely no problem with. The safety of our boxers is always paramount.

Aidan, as always, showed heart, dedication and commitment. He stepped into the ring, gave everything he had during the exchanges.

The club is extremely proud of you, mate — and more importantly, you should be extremely proud of yourself and your efforts. 👊🥊

Aidan is in good spirits after yesterday and has secured a challenge bout.

🥊 WELL DONE, TRISTAN 🥊

Well done to Tristan, who didn’t get the decision on this occasion.

He showed great discipline throughout the tournament, including making the 70kg limit. From our end, the ring control and scoring shots all looked good, but that’s boxing — sometimes the decision just doesn’t go your way.

Plenty of positives to take from the journey and plenty to be proud of.

Thank you, Tristan, for everything you’ve given to Freedom Boxing. You’ll always be part of the Freedom family. 🖤💛

🥊 GREAT START TO THE 2026 GOLDEN GLOVES

Tristan boxed a very tough opponent today and came away with a hard-fought win after a great contest.

Tristan now moves through to the quarter-finals tomorrow, where he is expected to box at approximately 4pm.

Great start to the tournament — onto the next one. 👊🥊

We’ve just arrived in Brisbane for a huge weekend of boxing at the 2026 Golden Gloves! 🔥

This year’s event will be held at Nissan Arena, with Tristan and Aidan proudly representing Freedom Boxing and Cairns.
