and is now danced in every city of the world. Learn tango, and you will have a passport to the world! Argentine Tango is not a single sequence to be danced the same every time. It is a combination from many simple figures, so, every time you dance,

it is a unique dance of your own creation. Argentine Tango Salon is not a show dance. A common reaction to the word TANGO is “oh Rose in the mouth” or oh “so athletic”. What you see on YouTube are mostly choreographed stage tango danced by professional dancers. Social tango dancers dance tango calmly seeking connection filled with love and care. It is a source of deep satisfaction and emotion. You will experience connections to the music, your dance partners, and yourself. Happy 2024!!
Argentine salon tango open-level classes are due to resume on Wed 6 March. As usual, it is from 6:30-8:00 pm (1 hour lesson and 30 min practice session) at Freshwater QCWA Hall. We (four teachers) look after both less-experienced and more-experienced learners semi-privately. Absolute beginners are also welcome.

Classes resume on Wed 8 Feb at last! Thank you for having waited patiently. Sat 11 Feb is our 2023 first milonga (dance party). Beginners are welcome. Yes, it's all starting! It's an exciting year. We'll have Tropical Tango Festival (organised by another group) in August. To fully enjoy the festival, in preparation, we are going to have visitor teachers in May, and perhaps also in June. Stay tuned!
