Massive congratulations to superstar Lucy competing in Cairns today 🔥

5 months postpartum
Bedridden with tonsillitis just 6 days ago
And a 20kg weight loss leading into comp

And still turns up and delivers:

Squat: 100 / 107.5 / 115kg (+2.5kg sleeve comp PB)
Bench: 70 / 75 / 80kg (+5kg comp PB)
Deadlift: 125 / 132.5 / 137.5kg (-2.5kg)

9/9 lifts & 332.5kg total

Pumping breastmilk between lifts and just running on pure vibes… this is what toughness looks like.

This is what happens when you lock in.

Huge progress across the board — training intensity is up, technique has leveled up massively, and strength has gone through the roof. The scale is moving, but more importantly, the physique is completely changing.

8.4kg down in just 2 months… and we’re only getting started.

Platform Strong Check-In 🔥 (Pre-Christmas Wrap Up)

Just before Christmas we wrapped up our mini family challenge, and this one deserved a spotlight…

Huge shoutout to our tied winners Loui & Ali — elite consistency from start to finish.

No missed tasks. No shortcuts. Just showing up and ticking the boxes every single day.

What they did:
✔️ Ate plenty of food (no crash dieting)
✔️ Followed a structured weekly grocery plan
✔️ Trained fully at home
✔️ Stayed accountable the entire way

Smiles for miles 😁💪

Jayden absolutely sent it with a 272.5kg squat PB — and this one hits different.
This was done in sleeves, compared to his previous 260kg PB in wraps. For those who don’t know, squat wraps can add a substantial amount to a lifter’s squat… so this is far more than a 12.5kg PB.

Since his last comp, Jayden has also become a dad 🍼 — huge congratulations to him on an incredibly successful prep, balancing life, lifting, and showing up when it mattered.

The day didn’t stop there:
• 170kg bench PB
• 280kg deadlift PB

Massive performance, massive total, and a whole lot to be proud of.

Jess came to our Coach Dave with experience tracking her food, but like many people, she felt stuck having to eat extremely low calories just to see the scale move.

Another great comp done by our superstar Vicky at the APL Christmas Cup🎅🏻

Stepping onto the platform in the U56kg class, Vicky delivered a confident and hard-earned performance, taking 1st place and showcasing exactly how far her training has come. Calm, composed, and aggressive when it mattered, she put together a meet she can be proud of.

She smashed a strong 120kg squat, backed it up with a clean 60kg bench, and finished the day with a massive 160kg deadlift. Vicky went all in for 170kg on her final pull — just missing lockout — but the attempt showed real intent and fearlessness. That lift is well within reach.

Another big win was how smoothly everything came together leading into comp — thanks to Coach Dave nailing her nutrition, Vicky didn’t need to do much of a weight cut at all, allowing her to step on the platform feeling strong, fuelled, and ready to perform.

This meet wasn’t just about numbers; it was about stepping up, trusting her strength, and pushing beyond comfort. Performances like this lay the foundation for big breakthroughs ahead.

Proud of the work, proud of the platform presence, and excited for what comes next.

Huge meet for Matt aka Battlesmurf 💥

Massive prep, massive ex*****on. Matt never shies away from the hard work and this meet was a perfect reflection of that. Coming 1st in the U82.5kgs with a 597.5kg total (405.30 dots)🥇👏🏼

Battlesmurf hit a PB for squats with a massive 237.5kg, smoked 135kgs for bench and got 225kgs for deadlifts (after hitting 250kgs in prep 3 times, he had a little nap in his attempts in comp😴)

Coming off a back injury, he trusted the process, rebuilt properly, and still managed to add huge numbers across the board. That alone speaks volumes about his discipline and mindset.

He competed in the U82.5kg class, successfully completing a controlled water cut from 86.6kg over the final week — executed exactly as planned.

Extremely proud of this performance and even more excited about what’s ahead.

Achievements:
🏋️‍♀️ Strongwoman Domination – March 2025 — 2nd Place
💪 ACT’s Strongest – October 2025 — 2nd Place

Working closely on nutrition with Coach Dave, Lisa has made incredible progress — all while managing dairy and gluten intolerances. Her food choices may be limited, but she’s shown that you can still eat well and fuel your goals.

She’s taken a slow and steady approach, prioritising strength and sustainability — and it’s paid off. No loss in power, better movement, and noticeable improvements in events like stones and log, thanks to reduced stomach mass and improved control.

Meno hasn’t made it easy. It’s a tough stage for women, especially with that stubborn midsection weight. She realised she’d been pre menopausal since her early 30s, which explained years of weight struggles and extreme dieting. Now, with a balanced approach to nutrition and HRT helping with recovery and body pain, she’s feeling stronger and more consistent than ever.

Her journey is the perfect reminder that it’s not about perfection — it’s about consistency, patience, and smart nutrition.
