Merbein Golf Club Results

A busy fortnight at Merbein Golf Club featured the June Monthly Medal, King’s Birthday Ambrose, midweek Stableford competitions and the Foursomes Championships.

Mike Mooney headlined the fortnight’s results, claiming the June Monthly Medal with a winning nett 71. The King’s Birthday Ambrose produced some outstanding team golf before attention turned to the Foursomes Championships, one of the club’s most respected board events.

Saturday June 13 – Foursomes Championships

Played in true Ryder Cup style, the annual Foursomes Championships showcased teamwork, strategy and partnership golf at its finest.

The event is proudly sponsored by the Bell family, whose contribution to Merbein Golf Club spans generations. Family members have served as Presidents, Captains and Secretaries, while also producing numerous Men’s and Ladies Club Champions. Their contribution both on and off the course has helped shape Merbein Golf Club into what it is today.

The accompanying photograph of Ron Bell is a reminder of that proud legacy and is fittingly shared on what would have been his birthday. Following Ron Bell’s passing last year, the club remains grateful to the Bell family for their continued support of the Championships and their lasting contribution to Merbein Golf Club.
