Another epic club round!

We had an awesome turnout at the main tent yesterday, with fun waves, plenty of great surfing, mild winter weather, and somehow the rain held off for us. The tunes were pumping, there were plenty of laughs in the tent throughout the afternoon, and it was just one of those great days to be at the beach.

Meanwhile, the groms over at Cove were absolutely frothing, claiming they had the “best waves ever!” 🌊🙌 That’s what it’s all about!

A huge thank you to Nick Selby for sponsoring this month’s round. We really appreciate your support of the club—and to top it off, he even took all the rashies home to wash afterwards. What a legend! 👏

A special shout-out as well to Ashy and Aaron for the incredible job they’ve done on the club trailer. It looks unreal, and we’d love everyone to help keep it looking that way by treating it with care.

🌊 SEAS THE DAY WRAP UP 🌊
What a weekend for our club at Seas The Day 🩷
For the first time ever, we entered an Open Women’s team and what a debut it was. Huge congrats to & who surfed their way all the way to the Final, finishing an incredible 5th overall out of 27 teams. To line up against some seriously tough competition (such as division winners Snapper) and make the Final is something to be proud of 👏
Our U14 girls absolutely shone too ✨
Sophie, Lucia & Marlie charged all the way to the Final, also finishing 5th overall out of 36 teams — these girls are just 8 and 11 years old, competing against surfers up to 13 years old 🤯
And another huge shout out to Nina, Bobbi & Asher, who narrowly missed the Final by just 0.33 points after an epic Semi Final effort. So close!
Special mention to the dads who jumped in to support and assist our junior surfers across the weekend — we genuinely couldn’t do it without you 🙌
We also loved seeing other club members representing out there — Alaya and . Also big congrats to .waddell (with her 2 team mates) who finished 3rd overall in the U14s 🏄‍♀️
But results aside… the real highlight of the event was seeing everyone getting out there and giving it a go. The support between competitors, the encouragement, the sportsmanship, the fun and the amazing surfing on display is exactly what this event is all about 💙
We also saw club surf coach and sponsor .josh getting involved in free coaching sessions across the weekend which is awesome.
A massive thank you to for putting on such a fantastic event and continuing to back and grow women’s surfing.

This weekend Caba Boardriders will be proudly represented at Seas The Day with 3 teams hitting the water 🌊🏄🏻‍♀️
Seas The Day is such an incredible event for women’s surfing — bringing together surfers of all ages and abilities in a fun, inclusive team format while celebrating the growth of women in our sport. Alongside the surf comp there’s live music, wellness workshops, guest speakers, film, photography, food and plenty happening across the weekend.
We’re stoked to have our U14 girls and Women’s team representing the club this year.
If you’re around, come down to Kingscliff, support our teams and enjoy everything the festival has to offer 🤍🏄‍♀️

Any boy 12 or older who wants to try a boys all ages parent assist Divison that we are trialing this month please send a DM.

📅 Club Calendar Breakdown

As a general rule, we run our club rounds on the first Sunday of every month (March to November) 🌊

📝 Sign-on Tag Team morning kicks things off on the first Sunday in February
🏆 End of Year Preso / Tag Team is usually held on the first Saturday in December (TBC later in the year).

There are a few exceptions:
• Some months we’ll run on the second Sunday (eg September, with Father’s Day on the first Sunday)
• If the conditions aren’t suitable, we may push it back to the second Sunday to score better surf.

📲 Registrations for each club round open one week prior. Make sure to register before 4pm the Friday before the club round.
📍 Locations are posted on Instagram and the club WhatsApp chat the night before or morning of.

Inter-club comp dates will be updated when we receive confirmation. 🏄‍♂️
