Round 3 of the Queensland Cyclocross State Series delivered the goods at Bangalow Showgrounds today!
The course struck that perfect balance between power and skill — fast sections where you could put the hammer down, mixed with technical off-camber lines, sketchy squishy corners, and plenty of opportunities to test both your bike handling and your nerve.
From seasoned racers chasing series points to first-timers giving cyclocross a crack, the atmosphere was fantastic. Add great racing, plenty of cheering, mud-spattered smiles, coffee, and good banter, and you’ve got everything that makes cyclocross such a great sport.
A huge thank you to all the riders, volunteers, AusCycling officials, the D grade coffee crew, spectators and supporters who helped make the day such a success. We love bringing events like this to our community and showcasing what cyclocross is all about.
