Massive congratulations to three of our juniors who received awards at the MJCC Awards night this week.

Lance - Year 7 Peel - Bowling Average 3.64

Sam - Year 7 Peel - Batting Average & Aggregate - 460 runs Ave 92

Jordan - Year 8 South East - Batting Average 116.5

Well they did it, our SJ Blues Year 7 Boys won their Grand Final yesterday morning, beating Secret Harbour by 3 wickets.

The boys have had phenomenal season going through undefeated and then winning the semi & grand final. Well done to Shaun & the boys for all their hard work & effort throughout the season.

Also, a big thank you to everyone that came down to support the team.

Its Grand Final Time! SJ Blues Year 7 Boys have worked hard this season and last Saturday's Semi Final, earning their place in the Grand Final this Saturday against Secret Harbour Dockers Year 7 Boys.

The match will be played at Baldivis District Sporting Complex on Saturday 21st from 8am. We would love to see as many of our SJ Blues families lining the boundary to support the boys.

SJ Blues Womens cricket team is hosting a “Pink Stumps Day” night game to support the McGrath Foundation.

We’re putting together a raffle and are looking for donations. If any friends with small businesses — or anyone who’d like to help — have goods or vouchers they’d be happy to contribute, we’d be so grateful.

Congratulations to SJ Blues Royalty Kevin Francis for achieving the feat of 100 Club Wickets and 3000 Club Runs in the same match in Round 5 vs Willetton.

Affectionally known as ‘Ren’ around the club, Kev has done it all on field for the blues. From opening the batting and making hundreds, taking the new ball with his fast/mediums, bowling his deceptive leg spin or even coming in the late order as a finisher.

Kev’s loyalty to the club has never wavered more than 3 or 4 times, becoming an ever reliable member of our top grade teams over the years. Taking only 160 Innings to rack up his 3000 makes him the Second Fastest to ever achieve this feat*

*In this calendar year (Jordan Armstrong, Round 4, 103 Innings)

In all seriousness Kevin has been a stalwart for the top grade for the better part of a decade and will hopefully continue to build on this impressive resume in years to come!

It was a busy offseason for the Blues, as we entered new teams into the Peel Cricket Association in both Women's A-Grade and U21 Colts. Pictured below is the inaugural team from our Round 1 Fixture.

The women play on Saturdays, with their home fixtures taking place at Kalimna Oval.
