A number of weeks ago, a significant electrical issue occurred in one of the buildings at Byford Secondary College, which unfortunately also damaged the pool heater. Since then, we’ve been unable to operate while the College works through the process of replacing the unit in consultation with the Education Department.
While the school is progressing with a new dual-heater system to provide future redundancy, delays in approvals, procurement, and installation mean we currently cannot confirm when the system will be operational.
As a result, all remaining Term 1 lessons have been cancelled, and we have regretfully made the decision to suspend lessons for Term 2 as well. We expect to resume operations in Term 3, following a consistent run and monitoring of the new heating system.
We extend our sincerest apologies to all families affected by this disruption. We know how important swimming is to your children and your weekly routine, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
To make things right, we’re offering refunds for any unused lessons or a transfer to our Success location (approx 25 minutes from Byford).

If choosing a refund, payments received from credit cards, KidSport or other government agencies will be processed back to the source payment. This may take 10-15 days. Bank transfer refunds will be completed on Friday 4th April.
