Busselton District Junior Football Association (BDJFA)

The BDJFA invites all members, parents, coaches, and volunteers to attend our upcoming Annual General Meeting.

This is your chance to:
✅ Review the past season
✅ Have your say on the future of the Association
✅ Get involved by nominating for a committee position

🏆 GRAND FINAL WRAP-UP | 2025 🏆

What a way to finish the season! Last Saturday we were treated to perfect weather, massive crowds, and three thrilling Grand Finals that lived up to the hype.

A huge congratulations to our 2025 Premiers:

🥇 Year 7 – Countrys
🥇 Year 8 – Countrys
🥇 Year 9 – Vasse Royals

An incredible effort from all three teams who rose to the occasion and delivered when it counted most. 👏

To our runners-up, we know how tough it is just to make it to Grand Final day – and you should be immensely proud of your seasons. You’ve represented your clubs with heart, skill, and determination all year.

It is with deep sadness we share the news of the passing of Mike Adams — a founding member of the Busselton Districts Junior Football Association (BDJFA) and a true legend of our local game.
Mike played a vital role in establishing junior football in Busselton in 1955, helping form the very first under-16 competition — a legacy that thousands of young players and umpires continue to benefit from today.

On the field, Mike was a champion — a three-time Busselton Magpies league premiership player (1956, 1964 & 1967) and Life Member of the Club. His contributions were fittingly recognised with inductions into the SWFL Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Busselton Football Club Hall of Fame in 2024.

Mike’s commitment to the game, especially to its youngest players, will never be forgotten. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him.

Positive Sports Parenting Session🔥

This free session is being delivered by SALT (Sport and Life Training), thanks to support from our local Busselton & Dunsborough Community Bank branches of Bendigo Bank and is open to all parents and carers across our association.
It’s an important opportunity to help shift the focus from just performance to building character, resilience, and lifelong values through sport – with practical tools for parents to better support their kids, clubs, and coaches.

The 2025 BDJFA Winter Carnival Squad. Our three teams made up with players from all teams in our district, will travel across to Manjimup tomorrow to try to bring home some silverware! They will be up against tough opposition from AMR Hawks Junior Football and Lower South West Junior Football Association.

This week at Bovell, our umpires awarded some game day packs thanks to the amazing support from Warren from East Perth Football Club Inc. Our BDJFA umpires selected one player from each team across the Yr 4, Yr 5 and Yr 6 grades who championed good sportsmanship and being a great team mate.

A big thank you to Lowen from Country Football WA - South West, coming down tonight and educating the Towns Junior Football Club Busselton Yr 7, Yr 8 and Yr 9 teams around the dangers of misusing Social Media, and how to seek advice if needed!

Great to see these new age footy topics taught before a potential incident, rather than after an ugly incident.

Thank you to the Busselton Football-Club for looking after the juniors with use of the club rooms 👌
