Friday night's menu is brought to by Neil and his team. The weather isn't going to be great, so come down for a green ginger wine or port to warm the cockles of your heart.

Geographe Cruise and Travel Tournament.
Saturday,23rd May, saw the running of this event.
With a chilly morning start under blue skies, 22 Teams played three games of Triples.
Competition was highly competitive with a number of our newer members playing in their first competitive competition, with a number of rule modifications, ensuring a number of upset results.
But at the end of the day the cream rose to the top:
1st: Brad Nelson, Peter Clifford, Greg Mather
2nd: Chris May, Peter Wills, Rick DellaBosca
3rd : Ian Pennington, Peter Fancote, Wayne Stuart
4th "Snowy", Jim Symes, John Symes
5th: Cliff Dawson, "Barni", Jim Paganoni
Foundation Award: Frank Honey, Nola Sauzier, Teresa Winn.

We would like thank Michelle Van Der Kroft from Geographe Cruise
for her attendance on the day and assistance with the presentation. Her company's support has been invaluable and has been much appreicated.

This Friday evenings meal will ensure your nutritional needs are met.
Merv and his raffles should be entertaining, and the members draw around 6ish. Come to the club for an ale or two and socialise with people who enjoy the same sport.

On 3rd May, B.B.C. had their General Meeting to appoint the Clubs Committee for the 2026/7 year. At this well attended meeting,
The President ,Kevin SHEMELD thanked the outgoing group for their efforts.
After votes were counted , the following positions were confirmed:
President: Kevin Shemeld
Vice President: Jennie Bruce
Peter Crispen
Secretary: Geoff Singleton
Treasurer: Chris May
Ladies Captain: Lex Harris
Mens' Captain: Stan Wood
In addition a number of our newer members have volunteered to join the various sub-committees going forward.
The President welcomed the new committee and looked forward to working with them.
New LIFE MEMBER APPOINTED
The finalized the meeting their was a motion to appoint a NEW LIFE MEMBER to Busselton Bowls Club.
The motion was put, and was unanimously ACCEPTED.
JIM PAGANONI was asked to come up and accept this honor which he readily accepted.
Jim has been a hard worker within the club over many years, helping in various roles and doing whatever possible to help the club.

It will be a fine day on Friday for bowls and then follow with a good balanced meal cooked by Neil and his wonderful staff.
In the meantime, Merv will have his raffles going, so come down for a meal, ale, and a chance at winning a raffle or even the members draw.

Well done to Boomer Gearing (bsn), Boomers brother John Gearing (mer) and Scott Pennington (ex bsn) for winning the $20,000 triples comp held on the weekend in Merredin who defeated Jim Paganoni (bsn) Dave Foster (dnb) and A Chesson (mer) in the grand final. Well done to all players as they walked away with some very decent prize money 🙂
