Last weekend we celebrate a fantastic milestone as Elliot ran out for his 50th game in Saints colours.

Elliot has been an important member of our Year 8 group and has built a reputation as a versatile player in the side. No matter where the coaches need him, he is always willing to put his hand up and have a crack.

Whether he's playing up forward, down back, or running all day on the wing, Elliot gives his team exactly what they need. His ability to adapt to different roles and consistently contribute wherever he plays makes him an incredibly valuable teammate.

Often finding space around the ground, Elliot has a great knack for getting himself into dangerous positions. When the ball finds its way into his hands, he usually makes good things happen, using the footy well and helping drive his team forward.

His football knowledge, work rate and confidence have continued to grow each season, and it has been fantastic to watch him develop into the player he is today.

Congratulations on reaching 50 games, Elliot. We are incredibly proud of your achievement and look forward to watching what the next 50 games have in store.

Round 8, Spirit of Football Round

Round 8 saw a very special event on the junior football calendar, with our Year 4–6 teams taking part in the inaugural Spirit of Football Round.

The concept of the round was simple but powerful. Players swapped jumpers and teams were mixed to create evenly matched sides, ensuring competitive and contested football while promoting the values that make junior sport so important, mateship, sportsmanship, respect, teamwork and enjoyment.

The Spirit of Football Round was a fantastic experience for everyone involved. All teams embraced the concept with a wonderful attitude, demonstrating exactly what junior football is all about. The kids were incredible, showcasing not only their skills on the field but also outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day. It was genuinely one of the most enjoyable rounds to watch and be a part of this season.

Beyond the game itself, it was also a valuable learning opportunity for our coaches and team officials. Watching how other clubs support, encourage and develop their players provided plenty of ideas and insights that we can take back to our own coaching group.

A big thank you to all the players, coaches, volunteers and families who embraced the spirit of the round. The kindness, teamwork, respect and enjoyment displayed by everyone involved made it a memorable day for all.

Saints of the Week ⭐

Johnny - our Year 3 Saint of the Week. Johnny was recognised for his amazing effort, strong attempts to get involved in every contest and his outstanding marking skills. A fantastic performance all round.

Max & Chase - Both boys truly embraced the spirit of football through their sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, courage and commitment. Both boys supported their teammates, played with heart and represented everything our club and this great game stand for.

Storm - played her best game yet. She seemed to be at the bottom of every pack either laying a tackle or dishing out a handball to a teammate. To top it all off, she kicked her very first goal. A day she won't forget in a hurry!

Xavier - really shone today and showed off his skills. Not only did he kick a couple of goals while wearing Saints colours, but he also continued his strong form when he pulled on the Dunsborough guernsey. A great example of embracing the spirit of the round.

Indigo - had an absolute cracker of a game and his efforts didn't go unnoticed, earning recognition from the Dunsborough coach as well. He showed plenty of confidence and skill while moving the ball around the ground.

Jack - played a terrific game on the wing, working hard to find space and using the ball effectively whenever he got his hands on it.

Henry - held down centre half-back all day and was instrumental in stopping opposition attacks. He attacked the ball hard and continually disrupted forward entries.

Jagger - was an absolute machine all day. He never stops competing, consistently wins his one-on-one contests and took some strong marks throughout the game. A super reliable player and teammate.

Carlos - was a tackling machine in the backline. He applied relentless pressure, gave second and third efforts and was rewarded with a number of holding-the-ball decisions through his persistence and determination.

A huge thank you to our Round 8 sponsors, Titanium Engineering, Vasse Newtown, Neon Plumbing, Lizard Contracting and Country Builders for your continued support of our club and junior football program.

Round 7

We were all over the place this round, with games spread across two days in Busselton and Dunsborough.

Our Year 4s and 5s took on the Dunsborough Sharks at home in the usual Saturday morning timeslot, while our Year 6s headed to Shark Park on Friday night for a clash under lights. The Year 7s also faced the Sharks on Friday evening, while our Year 8s took on Dunsborough White under lights on Saturday night. The Year 9s rounded out the weekend with a tough contest against a strong Dunsborough White outfit on Saturday afternoon.

The Year 4s competed hard and continued to show growth in their teamwork and understanding of the game. Every week this group continues to develop and find ways to impact contests around the ground.

Our Year 5s once again brought plenty of effort and enthusiasm. They attacked the footy hard, worked well together and showed some exciting passages of play throughout the game.

The Year 6s put on a show under lights at Shark Park. In a thrilling contest filled with some seriously impressive skills and a special 50-game milestone celebration, they showed exactly why they are a force to be reckoned with this season. Their connection, football smarts and willingness to work for each other continue to impress.

The Year 7s came up against a strong Sharks outfit and were given some genuine competition. The boys battled hard all night and continued to show the grit, determination and teamwork that has become their trademark this season.

Our Year 8s faced Dunsborough White under lights on Saturday night and played some exciting football. After a slow start, they came charging back into the contest and won the second half. While they couldn't quite bridge the gap on the scoreboard, the way they responded showed tremendous character and growth as a team.

The Year 9s took on an always-strong Dunsborough White side with a few players unavailable. Despite being undermanned, they battled their way through a tough game and once again demonstrated the resilience, toughness and determination that defines this group.

Saints of the Week ⭐

Darcy - earned Best on Ground honours for the way he embraced his role. He was given a specific job to do and showed great discipline by sticking to it from start to finish.

Ethan - was recognised for his selfless, team-first approach. His pressure around the contest was outstanding and he never stopped working for his teammates.

Charlie - always gives 100% and leaves nothing in the tank. Despite copping a few knocks over the past couple of weeks, he continues to put his head over the ball and do whatever he can for the team.

Kai - was a tackling machine and impressed with his first, second and even third efforts around the contest. When he won the footy, he used his pace brilliantly to break away from the opposition.

Ash - involved himself in some crucial passages of play and was rewarded with some really nice touches throughout the game. His confidence continues to grow every week.

Lincoln - took some great marks, was strong in every position he played and covered plenty of ground. A fantastic all-round performance.

Ollie - worked tirelessly all night across half-back. His tackling, defensive pressure and ability to kick to advantage were standout features of his game.

Liam - was hard and tough in the contest all night. He continued to tackle, compete and work relentlessly, particularly through the midfield.

Max - was recognised for using his voice and sticking to the game plan. He led into the right areas, creating space behind him and helping his teammates get involved in the game.

Paddy - showed his trademark toughness in the contest and his elite hands down back. His leadership and willingness to give everything whenever the ball comes near him make him an invaluable teammate.

Nash - played with great intensity and never gave up. He consistently put himself into contests, laid tackles and helped link up play through some strong handball chains.

A huge thank you to this round's sponsors, Neon Plumbing and Lizard Contracting, for your continued support of our club and junior football program. Your support helps create fantastic opportunities for our young Saints each and every week.

This weekend we celebrated a very special milestone as Lincoln becomes the first player from our current Year 6 group to reach 50 games in Saints colours.

Lincoln has been with this bunch every step of the way, and what a privilege it has been to watch him grow into the footballer and young man he is today.

One of our key tall targets, Lincoln is often the player his teammates look for when they need someone to stand tall and take a big grab. More often than not, he delivers. With a vice-like grip and strong overhead marking ability, the boys know that if they put the ball on his head, there's a very good chance they're about to watch him reel it in and slot a goal.

But Lincoln's impact goes far beyond his marking. As one of the team's primary rucks, he competes week in and week out, using his football smarts to put the ball exactly where his teammates need it.

What really stands out about Lincoln, though, is his coachability. He listens, learns and is always looking to improve. He has a fantastic attitude, shows respect to his teammates, coaches and opponents, and leads through his actions every single week.

When you combine that attitude with his elite skills and rapidly developing football brain, it's easy to see why we are so excited about what the future holds for him. The best part is that he's not only a great footballer, he's an awesome kid and someone we absolutely love having as part of our team.

Congratulations on reaching 50 games, Lincoln. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved so far and can't wait to see what the next 50 games have in store.

This weekend we celebrate another fantastic milestone as Chase runs out for his 50th game in Saints colours.

One of our Year 8 vice-captains, Chase is exactly the type of player you would pick first to have on your team. It's hard to sum up everything he brings to a side in just a few paragraphs, but one thing is certain, he is an incredible competitor.

What sets Chase apart is his ability to give a first 100% effort, then somehow find a second 100% effort, and often a third. He never gives up on a contest, never stops chasing and never takes the easy option. Chase is always prepared to put his body on the line for his team.

He plays with heart, grit and courage, all wrapped up in a naturally talented footballer who genuinely loves the contest. Over the years we have watched his understanding of the game continue to grow, and he is maturing into a fantastic footballer who can impact a game in multiple ways.

Whether he is playing forward, through the midfield or down back, Chase is the type of teammate who always has your back. His versatility, leadership and willingness to do whatever the team needs make him an invaluable member of the Saints family.

Congratulations on reaching 50 games, Chase. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved so far and can't wait to see what the next 50 games have in store.

From the Saint's Shed!

Round 6 saw our Year 3–6 teams head to Lou Weston Oval to take on Wanderers, while our Year 8s and 9s hosted Countries at home. Unfortunately, our Year 7s missed out on a game this week after their opposition forfeited.

With beautiful weather, plenty of spectators and some fantastic contests across the day, it was another great weekend of Saints football.

Our younger teams enjoyed some hard-fought battles against Wanderers, continuing to develop their skills, teamwork and confidence each week. It has been fantastic to watch these groups grow throughout the season, with players becoming more confident with the ball in hand and showing a better understanding of the game every round.

The Year 8s and 9s were involved in some competitive contests against Countries. Both teams showed plenty of determination and effort throughout the day, with players willing to put their bodies on the line for their teammates and compete right until the final siren. As always, there were plenty of positives to take away and build on as we head into the next round.

Saints of the Week ⭐

Teddy – awarded this week for leading by example. Teddy listened carefully to Coach Wez both on and off the field and showed everyone just how much of a difference it makes when you follow instructions and commit to the team. A fantastic effort and a well-deserved recognition.

Reef – was outstanding all game with his head over the ball. His tackle pressure was excellent and he worked tirelessly for his teammates from the first bounce until the final siren.

Ryder – continued to showcase his growing skill and decision-making. He asked to take on additional responsibility and made the most of the opportunity. Ryder also showed great care and sportsmanship when an opposition player was injured, demonstrating the values we love to see in our Saints players.

Harley – displayed a never-say-die attitude all day. He attacked every contest hard, put his body on the line and gave maximum effort whenever his team needed him.

Kade – applied immense defensive pressure and was often the last line of defence at full back. With our backline under constant pressure from a relentless forward attack, Kade stood tall and continually found ways to help his team.

Richie – never gave up all day. He laid some strong tackles, chased hard and used effective handball chains in defence to help his team move the ball and relieve pressure.

Wolfe – has spent the last two weeks in the ruck and continues to have a strong impact. Winning his fair share of contests through a great leap, smart tap work and excellent follow-up efforts, Wolfe has become an additional midfielder around the ground and never shies away from the tough stuff.

A huge thank you to this week's sponsor, Country Builders, for your continued support of our club and junior football program. Your support helps make weekends like these possible for our young Saints.

πŸŽ‰πŸ”΄βšͺ⚫ 50 GAMES – JAGGER ⚫βšͺπŸ”΄πŸŽ‰

This weekend we celebrated a fantastic milestone as Jagger ran out for his 50th game!

Jag was one of the inaugural members of our current Year 8 team when the group first came together in Year 5, and boy are we glad he joined us.

An integral member of the team, Jag is the type of player every coach wants and every teammate loves having beside them. If the ball goes anywhere near him, the whole team breathes a sigh of relief knowing he will do everything he can to win the contest. Give Jag a job to do and he'll put his head down and get it done without fuss or fanfare.

A true team-first player, it's no surprise that he is a valued member of our leadership group. He leads through his actions, his effort and his willingness to put the team before himself every single week.

Congratulations on reaching 50 games, Jag. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved so far and can't wait to see what the next 50 games have in store.

Round 5

We managed to squeeze in some sunshine before the expected weather arrives tonight! We hope all of our Saints families stay safe and dry over the weekend.

This week our Year 3-6 teams and Year 9s hosted Dunsborough Blue at home, while our Year 7s and 8s took on Dunsborough White in what proved to be another fantastic round of junior football.

The Year 3s played some exciting footy, demonstrating great team connection and a skill level that is something to be very proud of at their age. They are such an entertaining little team to watch, with every player eager to get involved and have a go.

The Year 4s put together a true four-quarter effort. They competed hard all game, won plenty of contested footy and never gave up regardless of the situation. Their determination, pressure and teamwork right through to the final siren were outstanding.

The Year 5s had a great game, linking up with handballs and sharing the ball well. They had plenty of new goal scorers and showed great team spirit. The opposition was very impressed with their effort, sportsmanship, and how hard everyone played

The Year 6s had a tough day at home. When momentum swung against them they were challenged, but the boys continued to fight it out until the end. Hopefully it proves to be a valuable learning experience and helps build resilience for those tough games later in the season.

The Year 7s continue to keep the crowd's heart rate elevated with their close games! What a solid effort from our newest senior team. Their relentless attack on the ball, defensive pressure and willingness to work together was outstanding. Unfortunately they couldn't quite secure the four points, but they fought until the very end. Keep working together boys, the rewards will come.

The Year 8s delivered a performance that was thrilling to witness. This is a group that has been steadily building momentum over the years, and particularly over the last few weeks. They started the game with an intensity that never dropped, hit the scoreboard early, and then the goals just kept coming. Finishing with a team-best 13 goals, they produced an incredible team performance where every player played their role and committed to the game plan, especially building "the wall" to the delight of Coach Cade! The boys celebrated their first ever win with a very rusty rendition of the club song. Well done fellas, the whole club knows how special this moment was for your team.

The Year 9s put together a strong four-quarter effort in a high-pressure contest. There were good skills across the entire team and plenty of positive passages of play. Unfortunately they couldn't quite get the win, going down by 13 points, but there were plenty of positives to take away. The game was played in great spirit by both sides and the boys are already looking forward to next weekend.

Saints of the Week ⭐

Darcy - an absolute machine today. Darcy never stopped running and seemed to be involved in everything. His work rate was exceptional and we all love a good don't argue!

Zephyr - showcased outstanding tackle pressure and courage around the contest. He kept his head over the ball, attacked every contest and was quick to win possession whenever the opportunity presented itself.

Deontae - displayed great football sense and an excellent ability to get to the right areas of the ground. He read the play well, positioned himself smartly and was always involved when his team needed him most.

Liam - played a strong and physical game, competing well in the ruck and providing a great target around the ground. He also stepped up to help the opposition side, showing fantastic sportsmanship and team-first values.

Jett - a brave and determined player who used his speed and skill to make an impact wherever the ball went. His willingness to compete and take the game on was fantastic to watch.

William - sets the tone every week with his attack on the football and his clearance work through the midfield. As part of our leadership group, he led from the front and was outstanding in the contest all day.

Arlo - motivational speeches, defensive contests and plenty more! Arlo embraced a new role today and showed great versatility. A popular teammate and a valuable contributor who had a fantastic game.

Billy - everyone says you should train how you want to play, and Billy has been training like an absolute bull over the past few weeks. Today it all paid off. His attack on the football, leadership through his voice, and relentless effort were instrumental in helping his team get over the line. The three goals didn't hurt either!

Jack - elite skills were on full display today. Jack's kicks and handballs consistently hit their targets, and his smart decision-making and courageous efforts made this one of his best games of the season.

A huge thank you to our round sponsoBusselton Motor Groupoup, for your continued support of our club and keeping our young Saint's engines running!
