***Busselton Auskick Update 2025***
There are some exciting changes for Auskick in Busselton this year! Lets start with the AFL update to the national program -
🏉Auskick 🏉 will now only include two year groups - Pre Primary and Year 1. This program will be very similar to previous years, focusing on fun, inclusion, playing with your school mates and some new mates and kicking the footys around.
Our Year 2's will now join -
🌟Superkick🌟 - Superkick is a Yr2 only program, which will focus on building from the skills learnt in Auskick and focusing on more game time and getting ready competition footy from Yr 3 upwards.
And our other big change is both our Auskick and Superkick programs will be moving to our local Busselton clubs to host and run. The momentum and growth Busselton Auskick has seen in recent years has been excellent, but we think its at the size now where 5 smaller and more manageable centre's is the best model to keep that sustained growth.
🤔Who are our local clubs??
Busselton is home to 5 fantastic clubs, with a long history dating back to the late 1950's. These clubs are all based out of their local home grounds, which are -
Sir Stewart Bovell Park - 10 Vasse Hwy, Bovell.
Here you will find the Saints Junior Football Club and Towns Junior Football Club.
Lou Weston Oval - High Street, West Busselton.
Here you will find the Countrys Junior Footy Club and the Busselton Wanderers Junior Footy Club.
Vasse Playing Fields - 97 Napoleon Promenade, Vasse
Here you will find the Vasse Junior Football Club.
With these changes, we are still waiting for some final things to be ready from the AFL, but we aiming to have all centres open for registrations this Friday afternoon. We will update everyone when they do!
All clubs / centres will be aiming to run 10 week seasons, starting the 14th/15th of March.
Once registrations are open, we recommend contacting the closest clubs to you, and they will welcome you onboarding for the 2025 season.
