South East Field & Game
May – 75 Target Sporting Clays Event.
24 May 2026**
A strong group of 68 competitors assembled on Sunday, 24 May 2026, for the latest Southeast Field & Game event. Cool late autumn conditions greeted shooters, but the weather remained stable throughout the day, allowing for a smooth and enjoyable program.
The course setters delivered an excellent mix of target styles — from softer, confidence building presentations to more technical birds that demanded patience, timing, and precision. The variety kept squads engaged and sparked plenty of friendly discussion about the ones that “got away”.
High Gun – Ron Rhook (73/75)
Ron Rhook delivered an outstanding performance, taking out High Gun with 73/75. His day was highlighted by a perfect 25/25 in Round 2, showcasing exceptional consistency and control across all three grounds. Several grades behind him were tightly contested, with only a target or two separating placings.
Lake Bonney / Burrungule Challenge
South East Field & Game also recorded a significant victory in the Lake Bonney / Burrungule Challenge, winning the inter club contest by 10 targets. This strong result reflects the depth of shooting across the SEFGA squad and added an extra highlight to an already successful day.

🌥 3rd Team State Qualifier – 26 April 2026 🌥

A mild–to–cool day with lingering cloud set the scene as 72 competitors took part in the 3rd Team State Qualifier.

March – 75 Target Sporting Clays Semi Old-Style Layout 22 March 2026

an overcast day with minimal breeze. The event was generously sponsored by Cocky’s Cockys Autopro, Millicent Tyre Centre, and High Gun sponsor Southeast Field and Game recently held their monthly event, attracting 63 competitors on Flemo’s Ammo. Congratulations to Declan Wright, who claimed High Gun with an impressive 71/75, including a flawless 25/25 in his third round. Declan finished well ahead of runner-up Jeremy Kent (68/75). Dougal Simson also deserves recognition for achieving a perfect 25/25 in his second round. Competitors travelled from as far as Centrals in the Adelaide Hills to participate.
Overall, members enjoyed the variety of targets presented, many of which proved quite challenging.
