Cookies XIII would like to send a truly massive and heartfelt thank you to Larry and the MORETON BAY RAIDERS committee for opening your arms to us and allowing us to affiliate with your club so we can continue our RLB Masters season.
Over the past few weeks we’ve been overwhelmed by the support shown to our team. So many clubs reached out wanting to help us get back on the field, and it reminded us what the rugby league community is really about — mateship, support, and looking after one another.
When the opportunity with the Raiders came up, it just felt right. To be able to affiliate with the club that Cookie once proudly played for makes this journey even more special for all of us.
But bigger than football, the real winner here is men’s mental health. Bringing blokes together, giving them a place to belong, to talk, to laugh, and to support each other is what this game is truly about. What started as a team has become a brotherhood, and the support shown by the rugby league community has been something we’ll never forget.
A special thank you also to Rugby League Brisbane for helping make this happen and allowing us to continue advocating for men’s mental health through the game we all love. Your support means more than you know.
Thank you again to Larry, the committee, and everyone at the Moreton Bay Raiders for giving us this opportunity and making us feel welcome. We’re proud, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead.
