Hi everyone,
Sharing this information from our South Burnie Hockey page, it's time for our annual cancer day fundraiser and awareness day which is one of the most special days we have for our season.
If you are in the area pop in to McKenna Park for some yummy treats, a snag from BBQ, buy raffle ticket, watch some great games of hockey or to view our annual hair shaving. ❤️

Our annual cancer fundraising day is this Saturday 9th August and this year is going to be another jam packed one. All funds raised stay in the local community to support individuals & familes battling this horrible disease. Or funds are donated to services on the NW coast that assist people on their cancer journeys.

A huge shout out to our three members who will have their hair shaved this year. Kate Parker, Brent Jago and Jagger Barnard 💪
Please spread the word and we hope to see a huge turnout come along and support this awesome cause.

The South Burnie Hockey Club is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2025 and to help spread the word we need your help. We will be hosting a major function on Saturday the 21st of June at our newly renovated Mckenna Park clubrooms. We hope to see as many of the old faces as possible. Early bird special $20 a ticket ($25 if purchased at the door) which includes finger food, we will hear from so many of the clubs famous faces over the decades and finish the night off in the true South Burnie way, with one hell of a party!!! Please share and spread the word far and wide. In order to book your ticket please email [email protected]. Also we don't have contact details for a lot of our former members, so if you would like more information, an official invite will be sent out in the coming weeks, please forward your contact details to the email address listed above.

Hi all
The SBHC junior academy returns in 2025. In what has been a huge addition to our junior program we have welcomed plenty of new juniors to the club over the last few years and we hope to have the same success this year.

Once again we will have beginner, intermediate and experienced groups in order to cater for everyone's needs. All ages welcome.

Remember, $25 canteen vouchers for any current juniors who bring a friend along and they sign up for our junior season 👍👍

Sessions are Monday nights this year 5:30 - 6:30PM, February 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th.

Remember all sessions are free of charge and all new members receive a SBHC academy pack.

We are also seeking sponsorship for the academy. If your business or any individuals are interested in sponsoring the program to allow the club to keep the academy free of charge, please get in touch with me ASAP.
