Sending a huge congratulations to ZGC gymnast, Grace Gaby, our Head Coach, Leah Englund & Program Manager/Coach EJ Hickey who have all been selected to represent Tasmania at the upcoming Australian National Gymnastics Championships being held in Sydney.

Grace has been named as team Captain and will compete in the Developing International division and Mixed Team Event.

Leah will lead the team as Head Coach.

EJ will represent the State in the Head Judge role.

Best wishes to you and the rest of the Tasmanian team for your preparations over the next few weeks.

Last weekend, our TLP/ALP 7+ gymnasts competed at the Tasmanian Championships, held at Kingborough Sports Centre in Hobart.

Our Club achieved outstanding results across the two days of competition. The poise shown by our athletes was impressive and the routines they performed were beautiful to watch…. Even so, team morale was probably our best event! 🌟

HIGHLIGHTS:
TLP 7 team - 3rd overall
ALP 7 team - 2nd overall

TLP 7 - Individual Results:
Ruby R - 2nd floor, 6th overall
Paige A - 1st floor, 4th bars

ALP 7 - Individual Results:
Tora C - 4th vault, 5th bars, 3rd floor, 3rd overall
Angelise K - 3rd vault, 6th floor, 6th overall
Ava C - 5th beam, 1st floor
Chloe S - 4th beam, 2nd floor

Congratulations, Grace 🌟

At the Tasmanian Championships in Hobart last weekend, Grace competed in the Developing International Division.

While Grace is the only athlete competing in her division, this achievement is made even more remarkable by the fact that she is competing at a level higher than any female gymnast in Tasmania has ever competed before. Reaching this standard requires an extraordinary amount of skill, commitment, resilience, and determination, and Grace continues to pave the way for future generations of athletes in our state. She does all of this whilst also working shift-work as a paramedic!

Grace was also successful in qualifying for the Australian Gymnastics Championships, being held in Sydney in June this year.

We are beyond proud of everything you have accomplished, Grace, and cannot wait to cheer you on as you represent Tasmania at the Australian Championships 🌟

Introducing our newest Tasmanian Champion, Jacqueline Carey 🌟

Sending a huge congratulations to Jacqueline who won the TLP 9 competition at the Tasmanian Championships in Hobart last weekend. She also took out 1st place on every apparatus.

Jacqueline’s achievement is a reflection of the incredible work ethic, commitment, and determination she brings to gymnastics every single day, not only as an athlete, but also as a coach and role model within our club.

Her drive to continually improve, challenge herself, and work towards her goals is truly inspiring.

We are so proud of everything you have achieved, Jacqueline, and can’t wait to see what comes next for you! 🌟
