The kitchen smells so good today with the beef curry bubbling away & the smell of chicken soup & caramel slice.

Smithton have a big representation on Friday night in the junior grandfinals with Smithton black & Burnie Baptist playing off for the under 13s at 6pm.
At 7.30pm Smithton play South Burnie for the under 16 trophy. Both games looking to be great entertainment value, unfortunately the weather may not be so great.
Come along & support the up & coming future of hockey on the N.W coast with 4 highly competitive teams playing. McKenna Park wishes all teams the very best for the grand final & welcomes all spectators to make the most of the warmth of the function centre or brave the elements outside, but keep warm with some delicious food from our kiosk.
Try the spicy Beef & Veg Curry with rice or some hearty Chicken & Veg soup with noodles. As usual the "goodies" basket will be full, Karen is making Buttery Oat & Caramel slice & Truffle slice loaded with lollies. There will be the usual menu with chicken burgers, hot chips etc.

Big day in the kitchen today, thought I'd treat you to a sweet feast.
We have raspberry brownies, choc caramel brownies, cherry ripe & choc chip cookies, chocolate crackles & a few choc chip muffins with a caramel buttercream frosting.
If you'd prefer something savoury there's chicken & corn soup & a cheesy potato & mince bake in the oven now. Of course we have our usual fresh chicken burgers & array in the bain marie.
Come along & support our juniors in their pre finals.
Tomorrow I'll have chicken caeser wraps & fresh chicken bread rolls.

Do not be deceived by this glorious sun, Winter may only have a few days left but it's showing it's true colours today...shockingly cold wind blowing across the ground.
Well I'm off into the warmth of the kiosk to turn on the coffee machine & cook some toasties, see you at McKenna Park for a cracking 3 GNL games.

Tomorrow is hamburger day!!! Hamburger with cheese, hamburger with bbq sauce (Bridgette) hamburger with lettuce, egg, bacon, beetroot, relish, tomato. Hamburgers all day!!!
