On the Weekend 22nd & 23rd August 2026 The Archery Australia National Indoor Championships for 2026 were held at Venues around the country with almost 900 archers competing Nationally. Archery Tasmania members also competed in the AST State Indoor Championships with the events being held at the Hobart College, Mt Nelson Campus hosted by Hobart Archers. Burnie Archery Club members competed in the State and Nationals Championships. Woranisaphat Phongsurang 1st in the State Open Compound & 27th in the National Open Compound, Paul Barry 2nd in the State 60+ Recurve & 9th in the National 60+ Recurve (great effort for first National competition), Ian Bessell 1st in the State 60+ Recurve & 1st in the National 60+ Recurve, Ian Bessell 1st in the State 70+ Recurve & 1st in the National 70+ Recurve.
