Been a bit slack on race updates lately! Over the last month we have had 3 races 🏁
📍 Launceston Kart Club
📍 Circular Head Kart Club
📍 Southern Tasmanian Kart Club
⭐️ First up was Launceston for a club day.
Qualified 3rd
Heat 1- with nothing separating the top 5 it was one of the best battles we have seen in a long time, swapping and changes positions throughout the race finished 5th
Heat 2- some more great battles finished 2nd
Heat 3- 2nd
Final- unfortunately drove out the gate and the kart died.. Dad was playing with the tune and forgot to fix it🙁
⭐️ Next up was circular head club day.
Saturday practice was good fastest on track but we knew that didn’t matter as race day was going to be wet! lacking confidence in the wet but was good to do some laps to prepare for state titles there later in the year.
Qualified 5th heats 1, 2 & 3finished 4th 5th & 6th
Final finished 6th.
Definitely need some wet weather practice. Despite the rain it was a good weekend and huge congratulations to Noah on his first final win hard work pays off 👏
⭐️ This past weekend at southern Tasmania kart club for the Ian Harrington rising stars race.
Qualified- 2nd
Heat 1- 2nd
Heat 2- 2nd
Heat 3- 1st
Heat 4- 1st
Final- a few karts came together after the start putting Elenah into last place. But head down and over the next 12 laps she passed kart after kart. The front runner Ollie was in sight but no more laps left finished in 2nd with the fastest lap time by half a second. Amazing drive and determination.
21 lap feature race - random grid draw started in 2nd got a good start behind 1st place unfortunately half way through the opening lap my engine died and I was out of the race watching from the fence. Congrats to Harry for winning🥇
At this event there is 3 awards up for grabs for the kids. Cadets up and coming star, juniors rising star and the Mozza hard charger award. Previous years Elenah has been lucky enough to receive the cadet award and junior award. This year she got the Mozza hard charger award for her determination and come back in the final. Chosen and Presented to her by Damien Squeak Grimwood he said while he was watching the race he could just hear Mozza saying go girl go. She was thrilled to get this and couldn’t hold back the tears, it reminded us of the time Mozza presented her with the cadet award back in 2021. A Very loved and missed man 💙

Some exciting news this weekend Elenah will spend 3 days in the team 18 garage along side David Reynolds & Anton De Pasquale at Symmons plains for the v8 Supercars doing work experience! She’s nervous but super excited. Such an amazing opportunity for her to learn and be close to all the action. Thanks to Karting Australia Karting Tasmania & Team 18 for this opportunity 🏁
