Entries are NOW OPEN for the first qualifying 2025/26 Winter Track and Field meet, taking place at Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium on Sunday, 17th May.

Last night we celebrated the 25/26 Track and Field Season at our Presentation Evening.

Congratulations to all our Age Group Champions, PB and Attendance award winners, State Relay Team, Regional and State Championship competitors, and Junior and Senior Club Champions.

And also a big well done to all of our athletes who gave it their best this season, their supporters, coaches, our committee and sponsors, especially Community Bank Buninyong, who have made this a season to remember.

We can’t wait to see everyone tonight at 5pm for our 25/26 Presentation Night. Due to the drop in temperature we are now running the evening inside the Tennis Clubroom rather than outside. Due to this there’s no need to bring camping chairs as there are chairs provided.

It was an early but very hoppy Easter at Buninyong Little Athletics on Friday, with loads of fun Easter-inspired events, including a handicapped family 100-metre sprint, which saw some of our parents take on their athletes (and not come out on top).

This Friday night is our Easter Round, so get ready to dress Easter-y (bunnies, Easter hats, chickens and eggs all welcome)and have some eggcellent fun with a range of Easter-themed activities, including a handicapped 100-metre, and athletes-versus-parents races, all on the agenda to celebrate the track and field season 25/26.

All BBQ proceeds and money raised through the Easter guessing jars (x4, $1 per guess) and the raffle (tickets $2 each or 3 for $5) will go to the Royal Children's Hospital, so don't forget your coins!

It was our last round of the 2025/26 Track and Field season and we finished with a bang- 35 season PBs and two centre records.

Congratulations to Dash, who 'discus'-ed his way into the 11U Male record books with a phenomenal 20.32 metre discus, and to Henry, who jumped into the high jump 15U record books at 1.20 metres.

We look forward to hopping into some Easter fun next Friday. Stay tuned for more eggciting details.

Tommy has recently joined Little Athletics, bringing incredible courage and enthusiasm with him. After spending time at the Royal Children’s Hospital, he’s shown remarkable resilience and a bright spirit that shines through at every session. Whether he’s sprinting down the track, trying out the jumps, or giving the throws his best effort, Tommy approaches each event with determination and a big smile. He’s quickly made new friends and become a valued part of the group, inspiring others with his positive attitude and willingness to give everything a go. Everyone is excited to watch Tommy continue to grow, have fun, and enjoy his athletics journey.

Every year Little Athletics Victoria Centres participate in fundraising activities to contribute to an overall State donation, presented on Channel 7’s live telecast of the Good Friday Appeal. The Royal Children’s Hospital has played a vital role in saving and improving the lives of thousands of Victorians, including many from within our Little Athletics community. To date Little Athletics Victoria and its Centres have raised well over 1 million dollars.
Please help us to continue our long-standing relationship with the RCH and support your Little Athletes in their fundraising efforts for this most worthy cause.
