Every role mattered. Every contribution counted.

A complete team performance saw La Trobe deliver on the big stage — with impact across batting, bowling and fielding.

💥 With the bat
Sahasra Pulibandla (38) and Alisha Wale (37)* built strong momentum through the middle and finishing phases, while Vrishti Mangrolia (24) showed composure at the top of the order.

🎯 With the ball
Neriah De Costa (3 wickets) and Netanya De Costa (2 wickets) led the attack with control and discipline, well supported by Lakshya Ranjith (2 wickets).

🎥🌟 PLAYER OF THE FINAL | HARSHINI KOVVURI 🌟

A captain’s performance built on resilience, composure and leadership.

In the Grand Final of the Cricket Victoria WCCC Senior Women Shield , Harshini Kovvuri, a left-hand opening batter, led from the front with a composed 55 (65 balls), anchoring the innings and setting the platform for La Trobe’s premiership-winning total.

Batting against the new ball, she showed patience, control and strong game awareness building the innings under pressure and guiding the team through key phases.

After missing a significant part of the season due to injury, Harshini returned with strong self-belief and focus. In the closing stages of the competition, she built strong momentum with scores of 101,50 and 55 , demonstrating consistency and composure in high-pressure matches.

These performances played a key role in La Trobe’s finals campaign, contributing to the team’s progression into the Semi Final and eventual premiership win.

In a personal moment off the field, Harshini showed great strength to contribute to the team’s success and dedicated her Grand final performance to her late grandfather.

At just U15 level, competing in a Senior Women’s competition, she demonstrated maturity, resilience and game awareness beyond her years.

🌟 CONGRATULATIONS HARSHINI KOVVURI & MARIA DAHIYA 🌟

On Sunday 15th February, in the Cricket Victoria Women’s Community Cricket Competition – Senior Women’s Shield 1, two outstanding U15 players delivered a truly remarkable performance.

🏏 Harshini Kovvuri – 101 Runs
🏏 Maria Dahiya – 111 Runs

Both centuries were scored in the same match, and together they compiled an extraordinary 273-run partnership.

A 273-run stand in CV Senior Women’s Shield 1 cricket sits at the very top end of partnerships recorded in the competition and for two U15 cricketers to achieve this at senior level makes it even more special.
