Matt aka a Jawa (if you know Star Wars you know if you don’t google it) from the planet Tatooine with a very healthy trout that made its way to the esky - upon which it wasn’t so healthy. The last few trips we have moved constantly until we’ve had a 30-45 minute reprieve from the sharks and tallied up some nice specimens

He had a pretty tough start to the day with the sharks giving him a fair old flogging. But like all champions he ended up smacking some great fish. A cracking grass sweetlip that fell to a well presented dead bait

Bruiser with a very respectable red emperor from our last trip that nearly found it’s home in the reef. Gonna have a crack tomorrow and see if we can race some nice fish to the boat. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Matt with a perfect eater trout from our last trip that gobbled down a live bait. After a relentless tirade of abuse from the skipper he responded in the best way - a couple of trout and a nice red to boot. All done for the good of the team

Bruiser with a very solid grass sweetlip from our last trip. These guys seem to slow up a bit in the summer months but will become a standout as we head into autumn. With their willingness to eat live baits, dead baits and lures they are a definite favourite

Solid bar cheek trout for the skipper made for a great start to the day. At 81cm and 6.6 kg was a fantastic catch on a whole squid bait. While most of our big trout fall to live baits in the summer months these guys are a bit less fussy about what they want to eat

Headed offshore for a fish yesterday (Friday) and enjoyed better than forecasted conditions. Cracking day on the water and came back early because the esky was full! (Cobia take up a fair bit of room 🤣) Anyway we managed to keep the shark depredation to a minimum and Bruiser even managed to pull one fish back out of a shark’s mouth although it ended up being a little worse for wear…

Had to pick a good day to get a feed for the families for Christmas as our freezers were empty!

It was a few days before Christmas and our freezer were bare. With no favourable forecasts we picked the day we thought that would be the least taxing and en...

Rizza with a solid chunk of grass sweetlip that ate a live bait while fishing off Bundy. We had the task of securing some fresh fish for Christmas and while the sharks gave us a hammering (getting to be an all too common occurrence) we did manage to get a nice box of fish. The key when the shark attrition rate is high seems to be moving regularly to try and get a short period where you go unnoticed… for a little while

Bruce with ANOTHER cracker trout caught on our trip to Mission Beach. He definitely produced some quality fish around the reef edges. Part two of our trip has just dropped on YouTube so if you’re keen to see some more great fish and some fantastic underwater footage make sure you take a look

We don’t normally put up any non fishing related content but this was a special occasion. Three best mates made the journey to watch Metallica at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. What a night! Even though the crowd were a bit reluctant to get out of control we were having none of that. Great set with the highlight for me being their classic Seek and Destroy. Lifelong memories created 👍🏽
