Our SO table tennis athletes attended the latest interclub competition at Maroochydore, teaming up with other clubs from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Mackay, and Redlands. Well done to all athletes on another remarkable event, ably organized by Queensland Tennis coordinator Kim and assisted by committed volunteers and the Sunshine Coast Table Tennis Club all whose time and dedication are truly valued by the athletes.
Thank you Kathleen for photos.

🎳 Congratulations to Our Bundaberg Bowlers! 🎳

A huge congratulations to our six incredible athletes — Nick, Corey, Hayden, Travis, Karnie, and Jason — who proudly represented Bundaberg at the Queensland Disability Bowling National Championships at Alexander Headlands.

Each athlete bowled amazingly throughout the tournament, showed great sportsmanship, supported one another, and most importantly, had a fantastic time. We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination, and positive attitude displayed both on and off the lanes.

Dear Athletes, Families and supports,

Over the coming days, you will receive an email inviting you to access Consent2Go, our new athlete information platform. This system is replacing our previous medical information platform and will become the primary way we collect and manage important athlete information.

Once you receive the email, please follow the link provided and create or update your athlete's profile. It is important that all information is completed as accurately as possible so we can ensure we understand each athlete's:

• Medical conditions and support needs
• Dietary requirements and allergies
• Emergency contact details
• Important people to contact when required

A number of families have already contacted me asking whether this email is a scam, as unfortunately very little information was included in the initial invitation. I would like to reassure everyone that this email is legitimate and is not a scam. Consent2Go has been adopted by Special Olympics Australia to help securely manage athlete information.

We ask that all families complete their athlete's profile as soon as possible after receiving the invitation email. This will help us keep our records up to date and ensure we can provide the safest and best possible support for our athletes.

If you have any questions or experience any difficulties accessing the platform, please don't hesitate to contact the person sending the email.

Today, Bundaberg Special Olympics was acknowledged in the Queensland Day awards. Not only were we recognised for our work within the sporting community, we also won the Sports and Recreation section.

Athlete leader Bruce and athlete representative Travis did a wonderful job accepting the 2 awards on behalf of the club and their athlete peers.

We as a club work hard to give athletes in our community the opportunity to explore and enjoy inclusive sporting and leadership pathways, so this public recognition is icing on the cake for us.

Well done Bundaberg Special Olympics
