🏀 COURT UPDATE 🏀

The sanding and refurbishment of our indoor court is well underway and what a massive job it has been thanks to Kev and the team at Natures Floor Bundaberg.

We are excited to share that work continues to progress well as we push towards our goal of having the facility ready to reopen next weekend.

Our team is working hard behind the scenes to welcome our basketball community back to our home court and we can’t wait to see the stadium full of players, families and supporters once again.

🏀 Ford Aussie Hoops – Last Week for Term 2 is this Saturday (tomorrow) 🏀

Tomorrow will be our final Ford Aussie Hoops session for Term 2 and what an amazing term it has been!

The indoor court is currently closed so we will be on the outdoor court with access through the gate near the car park!

Our young basketballer’s have been learning some great new skills, building confidence, improving coordination, making new friends and most importantly, having fun while developing a love of the game. We are incredibly proud of all the children who have participated this term and the progress they have made.

📢 Term 3 registrations will be opening soon and we would love to see all our current participants back on the court. Even better, bring along a friend and share the fun!

What is Ford Aussie Hoops?

Ford Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia's official introductory basketball program for children. Designed to be fun, inclusive and engaging, it is often a child's first experience with basketball and provides a positive and welcoming pathway into our club and competitions.

🏀Who is it for?

✅ Children aged 5–10 years
✅ Beginners with little or no basketball experience
✅ Families looking for a safe, supportive entry point into basketball

🏀 Ford Aussie Hoops is designed to:

⭐ Introduce children to basketball in a fun and non-competitive environment

🏀 Competition Bronze Practical Coaching Course - THIS WEEKEND IN BUNDABERG

Coaches, take the next step in your coaching journey with the Competition Bronze Practical Course, combining both workshop learning and on-court application.

The Coaches Competition Accreditation is targeted towards club and junior rep coaches.

Learn practical concepts and ideas to create an environment your players thrive in.

Basketball Queensland is delivering a course in Central Queensland. This course will be hosted in Bundaberg! BQ will be looking to host events across different BQ hubs in the future.

🏀 Ford Friday Night Junior Basketball Competition & Training Update 🏀

Unfortunately, due to the court repairs currently underway, Friday Night Juniors will not be held this coming Friday and all free training sessions scheduled for this week have also been cancelled as our indoor court is now closed.

While we know this is disappointing, these repairs are an important step in restoring our courts and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while the repairs are completed.

The good news is that Friday Night Juniors will return immediately after the school holidays and the Winter Season will continue as scheduled. The team you are currently playing in will be the team you return to after the holidays.

Although we are sad to miss a week of basketball, we are incredibly excited to see our indoor court completed and ready for our basketball community to enjoy once again. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back onto our home court!

🏀 This weekend marks an exciting milestone as our youngest representative teams take to the court for their first carnival of the season and better still it’s being played right here in Bundaberg.

Games will start from 6:00pm Friday night at Shalom College, with the competition continuing throughout Saturday and Sunday with all games being played at shalom. We can’t wait to see our under 12 teams put on their Bundaberg colours, represent our association with pride and showcase all the hard work they have put in at training.

For many of these young athletes, this will be their first taste of representative basketball and we know they will give it their all, support their teammates and enjoy every moment of the experience.

A huge thank you must also go to our team sponsors. Your support plays a vital role in making representative basketball possible. Sponsorship goes directly towards helping get our young athletes on the court and providing opportunities for them to develop, compete and create lifelong memories through sport. We really appreciate your support.

Good luck to all players, coaches, managers and families this weekend. Most importantly, have fun, play hard and enjoy the experience!

Hi everyone, just a quick heads‑up that tomorrow night’s draw has been updated due to our Under 12’s rep carnival being held and many players being absent.

Game times and courts have changed, so please jump onto the Basketball Connect app (the app you will have registered your child to play) and double‑check your game time and court to make sure you don’t miss your game.

A huge congratulations to Harrison Single on being named Player of the Week in the 2026 QSL Youth League!

This recognition is a testament to Harrison’s hard work, dedication and commitment to improving his game.

The QSL Youth League provides an incredible development pathway for our young athletes, giving them the opportunity to compete at a higher level, gain valuable experience and continue growing both on and off the court.

We are very proud of Harrison and all of our Youth League players who continue to represent Bundaberg Basketball with determination, sportsmanship and pride.

Well done, Harrison, a fantastic achievement and one that is thoroughly deserved!

Our U14 rep teams have wrapped up the Central Queensland Junior Basketball Competition with outstanding results over the weekend.

🥇 U14 Bears finished the carnival undefeated to claim the Gold Medal for their season.

🥈 U14 Bulls also went undefeated across the weekend, earning a well-deserved CQJBC Silver Medal.

🥈 U14 Maroon Bears battled hard all carnival and finished as CQJBC Silver Medalists, showing tremendous resilience and growth throughout the season.

To finish the CQJBC season with one Gold Medal, two Silver Medals, and two undefeated teams is a fantastic achievement.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, managers and families for your dedication and commitment throughout the season.

🏀 The teams continue to train and get set to compete in their
State Championships in the upcoming school holidays, we wish them all the best of luck!
