🎾 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OUR MEMBERS 🎾
We’ve been advised by Bundaberg Regional Council that upcoming roadworks around the George Street and Targo Street intersection are scheduled to commence in September 2026.
The works will be completed in two stages:
🔹 Stage 1 – George Street Culvert Renewal
📅 September 2026 – early December 2026
Works will involve renewal of the large box culverts over Saltwater Creek, along with new footpaths and fencing.
🔹 Stage 2 – George Street / Targo Street Intersection Upgrade
📅 Mid-January 2027 – April 2027
The intersection will undergo upgrades including improved visibility, new pathways and raised crossings for pedestrians and cyclists.
🎾 Access to our tennis courts:
We have been advised that driveway access to the courts should NOT be affected during the works. However, depending on traffic conditions and construction activities, it may be more convenient to access the courts via Tantitha Street.
We’ll keep our members updated if we receive any further information or if access arrangements change.
