Very greatful for this dedicated group of people who give up their day to officiate for the NDRL. How good do our NDRL Referees look in their new kit in these photos from Round 8 at Isis. Bush Boppers helped us out with a coin for the main game toss and Conan gave Cooper a lesson in how a good coin toss is done.

Halfway already?! 😲

Round 8 marks the halfway point of the 2026 NDRL season, and what a season it has been so far! We've seen some outstanding performances, close contests, fierce rivalries, and plenty of memorable moments across both Women's League Tag and Men's Opens.

This Saturday, all roads lead to Childers Showground – "The Furnace" for a massive day of rugby league action.

With the competition ladders starting to take shape and finals edging closer each week, every game becomes more important from here on. Expect teams to leave it all on the field as they fight for valuable competition points and ladder positions.

Whether you're supporting your club, cheering on family and friends, or simply love local footy, come along and be part of another fantastic day of NDRL action.

Grab a chair, bring the family, and enjoy everything that makes country rugby league special. 💙🏉

⏰ REMINDER – NDRL REFEREE WORKSHOP ⏰

Our NDRL Referee Workshop is coming up this Friday at Shark Park, South Kolan.

We're excited to continue developing referees and touch judges within our competition, but we do need minimum numbers for the workshop to proceed.

If you've been thinking about registering, now is the time! Registrations will be reviewed tomorrow afternoon and, unfortunately, if we don't have enough participants registered, we may need to cancel the workshop.

🏉 BYE ROUND THIS WEEKEND 🏉

There are no NDRL games scheduled this weekend (6–7 June) as we head into a competition bye round.

While there'll be no action on the field, we're taking the opportunity to continue building our referee ranks with our upcoming Referees Workshop.

🏉 REFEREE WORKSHOP EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 🏉

Northern Districts Rugby League is looking at hosting another Referee Workshop on either the 6th or 7th of June, but before we lock it in, we need to see if we have enough interest to go ahead.

Whether you’re:
✔️ A player wanting to learn more about the game
✔️ A parent or supporter wanting to get involved
✔️ A volunteer looking to help your club
✔️ Someone wanting to build confidence and learn new skills
✔️ Or just interested in giving refereeing a go…

We would love to hear from you!

Refereeing is a great way to stay involved in the game, meet new people, build confidence and support our local rugby league community. No experience is needed everyone has to start somewhere, and support will be provided along the way.
