A little late but here's the Bundaberg recap 😅
A brand new track and my first ever ka race meeting meant we had to throw on the P plates and start from the rear. We struggled with chronic understeer all weekend which meant we only qualified 13th but the fastest P plater, which was a small positive. Heat 1 had a good start and made up a couple of spots and had the pace to stay with the group ahead of me which gave me some confidence but couldn't make any moves through the twisty bits with the lack of front grip. Unfortunately with a couple of laps to go I made a little mistake which allowed the guy behind to get past and eventually came home 10th. Heat 2 I made another great getaway but I made the schoolboy error of going for the hero move down the inside into turn 1 which in turn saw me go backwards into turn 1. Definitely learn from that one. Heat 3 and the final were disasters as well getting crashed into in both races. But big thanks to Bundaberg kart club, it was a great weekend and we'll definitely be back once this corona virus stuff is over 🤙
