Bundaberg Dragon Boat Club is a growing club with a team of paddlers who train twice a week and at the same time we have fun and aspire to get fit with the intent to bring home those trophies for Bundaberg Our aim is always to enjoy the sport of Dragon Boating, while encouraging and assisting our members to achieve their individual goals of fitness and competition. We have members who can't wait f

or the next training session and to compete in regattas and other members who come down on Saturday and Wednesday afternoons just for the exercise. The beautiful Burnett River is ready for Round 1 of the Wide Bay Series - Dragon Boat Regatta, this Sat 2nd May commencing 8am.

We paddled with only 10 in the boat - all other boats in our races had 12; we still paddled strong & race times were close! No medals for us this year but we all had so much fun!

Great paddle this morning. We rescued a baby bird, who had fallen into the water. Well done Will balancing on the nose of boat 🛶 to put it safely on the dock.
This was followed by ferocious paddling, picking up rubbish and a fish launching itself out of the water, slapping Will in the head before taking shelter in the boat from whatever was chasing it. The fish was safely dispatched back into the water. Will now knows what it is like to be slapped in the face by a wet fish 🐠. Hope you’re ok Will.
Oh and the rain. It became a little damp at the end. Just a routine Sunday paddle 😂🤣
