KBSC races from Spring to Autumn with twilight racing mid-week, weekend regattas and hosts a number of junior and open sailing events. Chris Oldham | Western Australia ✨

Throughout National Volunteer Week, we’ll be highlighting the 2025 Australian Sailing Volunteer of the Year Award nominees to recognise the incredible impact they make within our sailing community.

First up, we have Chris Oldham from Princess Royal Sailing Club in Albany, WA.

For more than 15 years, Chris has played an incredible role in growing sailing in regional Western Australia through leadership, inclusion, mentorship and community spirit.

From expanding Sailability programs and accessible sailing opportunities, to building one of Australia’s leading regional Discover Sailing Centres, Chris has helped introduce hundreds of people to the sport while supporting and inspiring volunteers along the way.

Thank you Chris for your outstanding contribution to sailing and your local community 💙👏
