FYI
As a result of the recent extreme weather, the Wombat State Forest has been temporarily closed to the public.
This is due to the damage caused by the storm and the risk posed by falling trees. The closure includes all recreation, camping and firewood collections sites in the Wombat State Forest.
The Wombat State Forest will remain closed over the Melbourne Cup weekend so anyone planning to visit will need to make alternative arrangements.
