Bulleen-Templestowe Basketball Club Est. 1969 | Proud history in Australian basketball. From Baby Boomers to Big V, and everything in between. Proudly developing the next generation 💛💙

We run a local Primary School competition for boys and girls just starting out in basketball. Kids interested can then join our Junior Domestic competition, representing Bulleen in the Eastern District Junior Basketball Association (EDBJA) on Saturdays. Talented juniors can progress to our representative Junior Championship program, which plays on Friday nights in the state wide Victorian Junior B

asketball League (VJBL). Our pathway then leads to senior basketball, where our open age representative teams play in the Victorian State league called Big V. We enter both men's and women's teams in the youth (23 and under) and championship competitions. We also have a proud history of association with the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL), having entered a team in the elite national women's competition since 1984. And finally, for those after a more social run around, our senior domestic competition runs each weeknight with a range of grade and age groups.

A huge congratulations to Izzy on returning from the Under 21 World Championships representing the Australian Women’s Deaf Basketball Team.
The team delivered an outstanding campaign, narrowly missing out on a bronze medal with a hard-fought 72–76 result against Poland.
This is an incredible achievement and a testament to Izzy’s dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence at the highest level of international competition.
We are extremely proud to have you representing the Bulleen Boomers on the world stage.

Just a reminder to our BTBC community that the uniform shop will be open this Saturday from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
With the cooler weather arriving, it’s the perfect opportunity to pick up your winter uniform items, including tracksuit pants, hoodies and stay warm in the stadium while representing the club in full uniform.
Let’s keep our teams looking sharp and feeling comfortable throughout the winter season ❄️🏀

SLAM DUNK Tournament at Bulleen Boomers! REGISTRATIONS CLOSING THIS SUNDAY

Get ready to showcase your skills at our exciting Slam Dunk tournament this Winter!

Can’t dunk on a ten-foot ring? No fear! We are lowering the rings to 8.5 feet!

Game Details:
Duration: 18-minute games (9-minute halves)
Special Rules: lowered rings and dunks are worth 4 points!
Team Format: 4 x 4 with up to 2 subs
Guaranteed Games: 4 games plus finals if your team qualifies

Age Groups:
U15: Born in 2012/2013
U17: Born in 2010/2011
U19: Born in 2008/2009

Venue: Bulleen Basketball Stadium, Monday 29th June 2026

Entry Fee: $175 per team (No individual player fees, although BV license & BA Game development levy fees may apply)

Lost Property!

We currently have a large amount of lost property at Bulleen Basketball Stadium (pictured above). While we make every effort to return items to their owners, we are unable to store unclaimed property for an extended period.

If you have lost an item, or recognise anything that belongs to you, please visit the stadium to collect it. Any unclaimed items will be donated to charity on Wednesday 1st July. Please ensure any belongings are collected before this date.

You can find our lost property at Bulleen Stadium, in the foyer area just outside the White Court. The stadium is open from 9am-4.30pm on weekdays and 8am-6.30pm on Saturday (during EDJBA games).

PS: If you own a Bulleen blue hoodie, PLEASE put your name and phone number on it! There is a little white tag on the inside seam on left side where you can do this! There are thousands of blue hoodies in circulation, and if your lost & found hoodie is clearly labelled, it gives us every chance to return it to you!

Over the past 5 weeks the featured young VJBL athletes got themselves* to TLC for a 6:30am training session to work on their game.

This group of athletes worked hard over the 5 weeks and were able to develop specific skills and experience new drills they have not done before.

Thank you to all parents who also had an early rise to get athletes to the session and then to school. Your dedication is appreciated by the club and your young people.

Great work to our coaches Jon and Jordan who provided athletes new elements to their game and harbored a safe space to ask questions & develop.

We host a double header at home on Saturday night against Westernport, the Youth Women up first at 6pm with our Senior Men following at 8pm both at Sheahans Road.

ROADTRIP! Our Championship Women are off to Warrnambool, looking to put together 3 wins in a row.

All Saturday night games for our Boomers this weekend, Camberwell will host our Youth Men at BSC. Our Boys will try to lock in a 1-1 record against the Dragons this season.
