Which muscles are used in cycling? Your QUADS do most of the work at the top of the stroke. Your GLUTES and CALVES take over as you pedal down. Then your HAMSTRING sweeps the pedal back. Your HIP FLEXORS help lift the pedal to the top for another go-around.
