Unfortunately, due to the very low attendance this evening, the V19 June General Meeting was unable to proceed and has been cancelled.

A sincere thank you to the small number of members who braved the cold and rain to attend and support the range. Your ongoing commitment is greatly appreciated.

This does, however, highlight the importance of member participation in the running and future direction of our range. Next month is the SSAA East Gippsland - Buchan Rifle Range Annual General Meeting, one of the most important meetings on our calendar.

Members can expect an email in the coming weeks containing the minutes from last year's AGM, along with the May General Meeting minutes. We will be electing a new committee for the 2026–2027 term. The committee plays a vital role in ensuring the continued operation and development of our range, so we encourage all members to make every effort to attend and have their say.

📢 MONTHLY GENERAL MEETING – JUNE 📢

A reminder to all members that our June Monthly General Meeting will be held on:

This will be our **last General Meeting before the Annual General Meeting (AGM)**, making it an important opportunity for members to stay informed, discuss club matters, and contribute to the future direction of the range.

🍽️ Meals are available from 6:00PM, so come along early, enjoy a meal and a drink, and catch up with fellow members before the meeting commences.

Whether you're a long-standing member or new to the club, your attendance and input are always welcomed and appreciated.

Attention members and guests who attended the V19 SSAA East Gippsland – Buchan Rifle Range on Wednesday 10 June 2026 for the Second Wednesday of the Month Range Day.

Could you please check your firearm bags and confirm whether you may have inadvertently taken a black rifle bag featuring a large orange panel and a Lock N Load Firearm Supplies logo.

A member has advised that this rifle bag may have been accidentally mixed up with a plain black rifle bag during the course of the day. If you find that you are in possession of this bag, please return it to Gunsport trading Bairnsdale, where staff will ensure it is returned to its rightful owner and that your bag is also returned to you.

We appreciate your time, understanding, and assistance in resolving this matter.

Joke’s on you though — there are five Sundays this month. But since this weekend is the FOURTH Sunday, that means the range will still be open and ready for business.

🔧 RANGE WORKING BEE — COMPLETED 🔧

Despite what felt like absolutely everything possible going wrong for some of us, the day turned out to be a massive success.

A huge thank you to the 9 brave souls who gave up their Sunday to help out at the range — and despite the forecast, we managed to beat the rain. Safe to say Mother Nature lost that round.

Special thanks to Andrew from Gunsport trading Bairnsdale for bringing along the power tools. The drop saw made quick work of the timber boards and helped keep the jobs moving efficiently throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone involved, we were able to:
🎯 Construct new target frames and revive several shot-out frames
🛠️ Replace fence panelling on the spectator fencing in preparation for disabled parking signage
🧹 Clean both sides of the range and the back berm, removing old waste targetry
🏠 Deep clean the firing line shelter gutters and clear surrounding foliage
📍 Install new lane markers
🌿 Cut back and tidy the front fence line, entrance and roadside areas
🪵 Complete what can only be described as some elite-level whipper snipper work

The amount of work completed in just a few hours was outstanding and is a credit to everyone who attended.

Once again, thank you to all members who lent a hand and contributed to improving the range for everyone.

🏗️ Trialling improved frame designs
🌱 Grounds and w**d maintenance
🚜 Equipment checks and repairs
🏠 Cleaning gutters around the firing line, office & shed
🚻 General facility maintenance
