Last week we headed to Maryborough Showgrounds for 2 huge days of coaching at the QLD Youth Aldridge Equestrian Challenge !

Where we tried something for the very first time! We gave students the opportunity to not only learn Trick Riding for the first time but also perform in our night time event entertainment.
9 Trick Riders performed on the night, 5 Students which have been having lessons with us already and 4 Students that only had 1 or 2 lessons before the night!

This turned out so well and we are so proud of each and everyone who gave it a go and nailed it! There were some tough routines to learn in a short amount of time but every one of them did amazing! 🤍

Huge thank you to the incredible team who brought this fantastic event to life, especially to Bess Broko for all your support and help making our time there run smoothly (And for being another awesome Trick Rider student mum)🩷🩷
Also a special thanks to Darren Soppa for jumping in last minute and running the music for the performance. And for yourself and Sonja bringing Caitlyn all the way to Maryborough just to finish off the performances as our more experienced student 🩷🩷
.. Looking forward to next year 🐎🩶

DID YOU KNOW.... there are 3 mini clinics you can participate in with-out a horse???

TRICK RIDING-
⚠️ 1 on 1 Student lesson on Tredegar lesson horses. (All lessons on Tredegar Horses. No BYO horse)
$95 each- 1hr
⚠️ The trick barrel group clinic on a stationary trick barrel.
$60 each- 2hrs

And

ROPING-
⚠️ ON FOOT ROPING clinics
$40 each - 2 hrs!
If you dont have a horse or not yet ready to throw a rope from your horse, you can attend the roping clinic on foot.

🐛 PLEASE dont be confused, as there will only be one x Roping clinic booking option on nominate BUT THE CLINIC IS OPEN TO ALL SKILL LEVELS -ON HORSE OR -ON FOOT.
We have 2x roping instructors this year and sudents will be split into skill levels/ groups at the session.

ALL CLINICS ARE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

If you are interested in some mini clinics and lessons but cant attend the full 4 days, you can just attend and pay for what clinics you are interested in attending!!

Congratulations Vienna! 🩵

On Sunday one of our Students, Vienna, went to her very first competition at Bundaberg Active Riders along with our horse Brady 🐴

Very proud of her for giving it a go and riding away with ribbons for every jump round she competed in was just an added bonus. Great job Vienna 🎉👏

Sunday Trick Riding Lessons 🫶

Well done girls, nailing some difficult Tricks!

One of the many things we love about Trick Riding is that it is very common in a lesson to fall/slip off. We've had many students have their first fall off a horse whilst Trick Riding, most of the time they just land on their feet. It builds personal confidence, that it's okay when things go wrong because when you get back up and try again, incredible things happen like nailing that Trick you thought you could never do 💫

Purebred Shetland Gelding.
Approx 10hh, 12yrs old. Currently being started in harness and under saddle. Kind, but nervous. No cranky "shetland" attitude. No itch. Forward moving.

~Tredegar Jedidah~
Gypsy Cob partbred (62.5%) c**t. Mature 14-14.2hh, 1yr old. Gentle and honest will make a lovely and reliable ride or drive gelding in the right hands. Microchipped and will be registered.
Sire: Painted Charm Midnight Geronimo
Dam: Kirashae Park Midnight

~Houston~
Appaloosa x Friesian WB Gelding. Approx 14.3hh atm, 3.5yrs old. Currently going through pre-saddle prep with him. Has a great nature. Does have an old fence injury, does not appear to affect his usefulness. Available now to the right home or later once he is ridden.

~Betty & Mulan~
2x molly mules. Both are from 12hh blue roan pony mares by our 13hh teamster jack. Both appear to be roaning out like their dam's. These girls would make great stock protectors. Available upon weaning with basic handling. Ideally would love to see them go together. Will need an experienced equine home.
