Well our time in Texas is coming to an end. Unfortunately we didn't get a call at the world championships finishing 38th. We were up against 63 best in the world and the scores reflected that. 9.4 points between 1st and 40th. We were quite happy with our hand in and scored perfect appearance but the texture scores cost us.

We did walk away with a 1st place out of 2 teams haha in chimney cartel cookoff which was good fun and cooking on something totally different.

A massive thanks to Robert from Bottomland BBQ Team for hosting us and bringing every single piece of equipment we would need including his trailer with A/C! I hope you enjoy the beers, Tree Bark and Tim Tams buddy!

A shoutout to Big Jon's Big Eats for being an awesome neighbour and keeping us well fed with your world famous jambalaya! The Aussies loved it of course!

Finals day at 2019 SCA World Championship happy with the steaks we picked. We are happy with what we handed in yesterday but doneness let us down. Time to regroup and go again!

Well the Steak Cookoff Association season has finished for us this past weekend. With the season starting back in October for us whilst in the USA for last year's world championships it certainly feels like it's been a long season.

We finished the year competing in 13 competitions with the following results

3 x 1st place
2 x 2nd place
2 x 3rd place
3 x top 10
1 x DAL 😂

After a pretty average showing at the world championships last year we came back home keen to improve and this wouldn't have been possible without Jimmy from Smokin Trucker BBQ sharing a few secrets with us. In just under 3 weeks we leave to go and have a crack again at the world championships teaming up with Robert from Bottomland BBQ Team

Another great event from the team at We managed to walk away with a few trophies, 2nd place grilled cheese, 3rd Asian street food, 2nd steak and we took out 1st place in duck which didn't have a trophy but thanks to the legends at we took away a few cases of Australia's finest.
