For over 4 hours, the incredibly talented Trent Seven shared his worldwide knowledge with the squad!

His passion for wrestling was felt and articulated in such a way that everyone was able to learn and grow!
Even Trent learnt a new little trick from one our students Will!

Huge and important announcement between two incredible companies!

What does this mean though? It means that Carlo Cannon will be working with MyPW trainees to ensure they are taught correctly and learn more about the business they haven't had the opportunity before. It gives them access to Carlo Cannon as their own coach and opens the door for either company, if safe to, travel, work and gain experience from more polished and experienced perfomers. It also gives them access to Carlo connections from major signed talent to athletes performing on a high level on the Indys.
This gives MyPW the BEST possible training they have ever had and it expands Vicious Pursuit globally opening the door for Talent from VP to compete in a MyPW ring once Covid allows it!

Exciting Times and it is only the beginning of what is planned!

FROM HEAD COACH CARLO CANNON:

I have refrained from saying anything due to the fact I feel that the voices needed to be heard are not mine.
But the problem is staying quiet and not showing support.
So this is on behalf of myself and my school Vicious Pursuit.

Firstly, I am in awe of the bravery and strength it has taken to speak up and against these abusers.
I applaud you and offer my support. Being a Youth Worker I've seen the effects and if you need anything from me or my school please ask.

Secondly, know that this behaviour is intolerable and unacceptable. It is disgusting and cannot go on.

For years, I have had students and fellow peers breakdown and cry to me about things that have happened but asked me not to act on them as they didnt want to cause drama or lose a booking or know that I was told about it. I bit my tongue and did what I could to protect, educate and support those that needed it.
If you know me, that s**t does not fly and even when inappropriate comments were said on the mic at a show, I called that person out in front of the audience and let them know that this is not ok.

I have been ridiculed, blackballed and laughed at for defending women and standing up to some of the 'Boys', but it's not comparable to the pain I've read and heard over the past few days.

I am a trainer myself, have been for 8 years and not only do I consistently drill into my students respect and boundaries but I have also had the unfortunate task of warning female wrestlers starting out about the bulls**t and the creeps. I let them know there will be s**t that may arise and to speak to me if there is any issues.
I fu***ng HATE that I have to do that.
I have a little sister and if she had to be given that speech I'd tell her not to join.

These are the instant protocols we are putting in place at Vicious Pursuit but there will be more once I educate myself more:

• We will not be accepting anyone with a record or reputation of abuse and misconduct into our facility.
This includes thorough background/social media and character references before joining our school.

• Through my past with the Reach Foundation, we have a female expert facilitator educating our students next week and will do so on an ongoing basis.

• All trainees will have to do a compulsory workshop and training in regards to conduct, respect and boundaries.

• Any student or coach found in breach will be removed on the spot and their names will be passed onto authorities and other wrestling schools and promotions to ensure they are not allowed back in.

• I am liaising with a legal consultant and female expert in the field of abuse and harrassment in what else we can do to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students.

Regardless of the fact that in 8 years we have had no issues and complaints this does not mean we cannot strive to be better and help where we can. I am not perfect and want to be better for myself and my students.

Lastly, I am so sorry and deeply hurt by what you all have had to go through, I can only imagine the pain and I will do whatever I can as a man and as a leader to make sure this does not happen anymore.
I want to be part of creating a safe and fearless environment for all to be the best they can be.

FROM COACH CARLO CANNON:

Ok, so this is a long post, but means the world to me.

As you know, I have my own Pro Wrestling school in the Vicious Pursuit: Pro Wrestling and Performance Academy .
For the past 8 years, this place has been my heart and soul. i have literally poured everything I have into this place, it's students and what it represents.
There has been so many ups and downs, so many students, seminars and successes. Times I thought we were going to close and put a massive dent in my financials.
From the start, I have taken every dollar and put it back into the schools survival and betterment. So many people have come in to help, to put their stamp in, to leave a lasting memory.
And I want to thank each and every person that has stepped foot into my school and given their time, their blood, their sweat, their tears and their soul.

I know this may sound like we are closing, but actually it is a post about its resilience and perserverance. Especially during this trying time of Covid-19.

I can't tell you how much I have lost, struggled, stressed and sacrificed or this school, but to see and wrestle against and alongside so many students who have learnt and gotten better from learning from myself and the trainers,makes it all worth it!

I don't even think people even now understand how much I put into this place (even moreso after you watch this video) and I don't do it for any financial gain. If anything i put my reputation and health on the line just so people can experience the true gift that is chasing after a dream that nobody sees but you.

I passionately love what i do, and will do anything for mystudents. I plan to continue to chase my dreams while empowering others to do the same. I want to lead by example and run to the mountain top and take everyone with me.

There is way too many people to thank over the 8 years, but I want you all to know that I am deeply thankful for anything anyone has done to add value and knowledge and love to this place. You have added the same to my heart and soul because this is what VP is to me.

I know I am missing a lot of people but even if i haven't mentioned you, you know I am so eternally Thankful to all of you.

For all the guest trainers from all over Australia and the world, all the international and interstate guests and trainees, for all the media outlets and students that have done documentaries on me and the school, Thankyou for 8 years and heres to a never ending undying legacy of empowering those who dare to dream and chase a goal they never thought they could. Thankyou for the Vicious Pursuit.
