Just a an update. Together we raised over two thousand dollars for Luke and Pius. That is just over one thousand each.

Have Stick Will Travel would like to thank all those who turned out for the afternoon and passed over some money to the cause. We hope you got value. Nothing typifies the spirit of the afternoon more than one of our favourite sons, Angus Cameron. He paid exorbitant prices for stuff he neither wanted nor needed. We love you Angus and everyone else who did the same.

A great thankyou to Sallie, Rob, Jackie, Ane and John who work so hard getting stuff out there. And also thanks to those who helped on the day. Too many to name. And thanks to the Moreland Lacrosse Club for allowing us use of the Clubhouse.

The money raise from the day will help out somewhat. However the best thing that our Champs will take to the World Games is your support. Whatever happens over there, they will be playing for you too.

As long as the Moreland Lacrosse Club has been in existance, we have always had a member in the Under 19 Australian teams, starting in 1992.

Our first player representative was Rhiain Barr in the 2003 World Championships in Baltimore Maryland USA. Rhiain was a standout for the Australian Team and at the conclusion of the games was announced in the World team. An honour bestowed on the best ten players at the Tournament.

In 2008 Moreland's Angus Cameron was chosen to play for Australia in the Under 19 World games in Vancouver Canada. Angus was the standout Australian attackman at the games.

Longstick midfielder Nicholas Longo was our representative in the 2012 World Under 19 Lacrosse Championships. These games were played in Turku Finland. Nicholas started in every game and did a great job especially against the US nullifying their dominance at the X.

And now for the first time our club has two representative in the team. We should be very proud of Luke and Pius.

The tradition ?

Well the tradition is that each player runs a fundraising event for his successor. Everyone knows that Nicholas is away in school but he has been somewhat involved in the planning of.

The challenge for our club is to make sure the tradition continues and Luke and Pius have a job to do in 2020 when the Australian Under 19 team travels to Limerick Ireland for the next world games

Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a long time since our last post and I am sure you are itching for some info.
You will be delighted to know that Have stick, will travel will be hosting a winter camp this year.
As per usual, we will have an all star line up of coaches, the best games and activities and some amazing prizes.
Spread the word early, this is going to be huge.

Hi there all,
One day after the camp and we are back to the grind stone, there are still plenty of hoodies, t-shirts and lacrosse balls left.
We have clothes in S-XXL and are extending our camper discount out until the 14th of August, jumpers = $40 t-shirts = $20 or you can get both for only $50.

Even if you weren't at the camp, there is no reason you can't have some $wagg.

Ladies and gentlemen, today we finished up our winter camp, it was an amazing three days had by all featuring world class coaching and some of the best weather Melbourne could offer.
A massive thank you to Altona LC, our amazing coaches and of course to all of our superstar campers, to those of you returning, thanks for sticking with us, that's what makes this possible and to those first time attendees, we'll see you all next time!!!
